I live in Hawaii (the Big Island). I'm a mother of two and a social worker. I used to be FITTT, but now I'm FATTT and I want to change THATTT. My goal is to be a size 5 again and to be be "Bikini Worthy" because since I've lived in Hawaii (eight years) I have never been able to pull it off and the weather is so hot, i just want to wear anything and never worry if "I look fat in this". Before I started this program I lost 23 pounds, only to gain back 10. After both my children I was able to get back down to 139 and a size 8. My pregregnancy weight varied between 120-135. However, I was very fit. I started walking with more commitment about two weeks ago, after about a year of lolly gagging. Instead of "starting out slow" I walked 4.8 miles the first day, about 3 the second and about 2 the third. I've been walking about 6 miles a week since then. I have lost three pounds. I really wanted to get more toning than walking alone and after playing 1:1 basketball yesterday with a 12 year old 90 pound child I thought "hey that used to be me!". I was so out of breathe and sweaty after only a couple of mintues. So, today, I woke up early, brushed aside all thoughts of the house chores that "needed to get done" and set out to commit to losing the weight today. Hopefully, scratch that, I'm going to keep this up and stop all the self talk about "being too tired". My b/f works out five days a week and I swear he's never tired, which is certainly proof that my laziness is only making matters worse.
