I got into P90X because going to the gym and lifting weights with friends just wasn't doing it for me. Even after months of it I still did not see the results I wanted. I used to run cross country and track in high school and was phenomenal at it. But I also weighed in at 135lbs. I'm 5'10" so in a stiff wind I could blow away. I wanted to have a little more mass than that. Ok a lot more than that. But after high school I let college and work get in the way of my running routine. As such fitness began to take a back seat to everything else.

When I enlisted in the Navy in 2003 I weighed almost 190lbs! I was running a mile and half in just under 15 minutes(3 years prior I was running the 1 mile in just under 5 minutes). I was not happy. I thought the military fitness/lifestyle could get me were I wanted. 7 1/2 years later I've been able to put a little of the mass I was looking for. I still lack the definition I want. My body fat% is in the high teens to low 20's. My waist is at 36". I used be at 30. I know I have a long way to go but it's gonna be worth it.
