My MDB experience began July 18, 2005. I was driving home and hit a pot hole. Everything JIGGLED!!! I am not referencing my truck. It was MY BELLY!!! I was Santa Claus. This was disturbing, especially since I considered myself fit. HOW EASILY WE DECEIVE OURSELVES!!!
I sat on a couch contemplating my new reality (i.e. I was getting old, out of shape, and over weight). Then I channel surfed to a P90 infomercial that caught my eye. I watched it, doubted the promises made, and suspected the photos were digitally altered. Despite my doubting, I ordered P90.
A brief look at my history will help understand my skepticism about the program. I was an athlete throughout high school and college. I was a trackster. My daily training included distance and speed work. After college I I started doing body building. After 7 plus years of training, I was convinced I knew all there was to know about physical fitness and how to develop the body. Despite using MY training techniques, I never had a sculpted body. Rather than accept that I might be doing something wrong, I rationalized that only certain people get a sculpted body.
Tony Horton taught me how FLAWED my TRAINING and PHILOSOPHIES were.
My statistics before starting P90 were:
Weight = 210 pounds Height = 6' Waist = 40" Hips = 37" Blood pressure = HIGH to BOARDER LINE HIGH Arm size = To embarrassed to measure Leg size = I knew they were there Chest = Way less than my waist.
I committed to the daily exercise and eating modifications of P90. After 1 week I lost 7 lbs. It was hard to believe and I suspected a fluke! After 30 days I lost 13 lbs, increased chest, arm and leg size, while reducing hip and waist size. I was stunned!!! I completed the the program and on day 90 actually saw muscle development and the onset of a sculpted body. My entire wardrobe hung on my body and my belts and pants were easily 2" to big. I then started using other products, Great Abs and Power Half Hour. I was so impressed with the results I continued the program for a full 365 days without missing a workout. My friends and family could not believe the change. I got compliments like, "Great body!" and "how did you get those abs"!
After one year I accepted the P90X challenge and have been ADDICTED ever since. All I can say is WOW, what an ABSOLUTELY MAGNIFICENT WORKOUT PROGRAM!!!!!!!!
I am 49 years old, FIT, and HEALTHY!!! The muscles are fun, flexibility great, and fitness astounding. My blood pressure is 123 over 79 and my heart rate is a mere 41 beats per minutes. Those numbers are almost as good as my track days.
I have lived the BeachBody life style for 4 years and it is MORE THAN AMAZING!!! To you who are living the BeachBody life style, I say, KEEP BRINGING IT!!! To you who are considering the BeachBody experience, I say IT IS TIME to BEGIN YOUR SUCCESS!!!
