Hello all. My name is Karen and I am a Certified Personal Trainer in BEAUTIFUL South Florida.
I suffer from Scoliosis and Hypothyroidism. I am a mother of twin boys, the owner of several businesses, and I am extremely busy ALL the time. Therefore,I understand the difficulty that people may have fitting in time for themselves. The Beachbody programs are the perfect add-on to any workout program, or the perfect way to fit in a little time for yourself to get fit, health, and happy rather you have an existing program or not!
I am PASSIONATE about health and fitness! And this passion didn't come easy.
I have tried EVERY diet known to man. I had been over weight for the majority of my life. It wasn't until after the birth of my kids that I got serious about losing the weight. I yo-yo'd up and down for a little over 10 years.I got down to 145 pounds in 2006 (far too skinny, as it wasn't done in a healthy manner!). Within 11 months, I was back up to 195! I knew I needed to make a change, but didnt know what to do. In 2008 I found out that I had Hypothyroidism. By this time I weighed 237 pounds and my Body Fat percentage was 38%. I decided that I needed to educate myself, so I went to school to became a Certified Personal Trainer. While I was going to school, I started doing Turbo Jam, which is a Beachbody Program. I went on to incorporate Beachbody Programs into my own fitness program (Insanity, P90X, TurboFire<~~See my pics on the infomercial!, Brazilian Butt Lift)
Since then, I have graduated from school, I have lost 72 lbs, 24% body fat & 33 inches of of my body since I began my fitness journey, I have started my own Personal Training Business,
Fitness, Health, and Wellness is my passion.
I have determined that a healthy weight for me is between 150-160. By biggest goals right now is to tone and lean out. I am trying to keep the booty! I like a little jiggle in my booty....a LITTLE jiggle! :-)
I experiment with ALL of our programs! It depends on my mood! I have become Turbo Kick Certified & Hip Hop Hustle Certified.I am really excited about this! I hope that I can bring the excitement of this, and our other programs, to you!
