Gaylord, MI I'm just looking to get into better shape, but aren't we all.
For the last two years I've had on and off health problems, muscle strains in my neck, acid reflux, etc. But that didn't stop me from getting to the gym and doing cardio 5-6 days a week, and weight lifting. I was definitely toning up, but getting very bored with my routine, weights, cardio, weights, cardio, I'm just looking to get into better shape, but aren't we all.
For the last two years I've had on and off health problems, muscle strains in my neck, acid reflux, etc. But that didn't stop me from getting to the gym and doing cardio 5-6 days a week, and weight lifting. I was definitely toning up, but getting very bored with my routine, weights, cardio, weights, cardio, weights....And stopped seeing results after a while...the dreaded plateau!
I was counting calories, shooting to burn around 500 every night at the gym. But, I was struggling to get below 130. This was an eye opener for me, cause I had never been above 110. I know part of it is muscle with as much weight lifting and training I was doing at the gym, but I just wasn't "happy" with myself. I wasn't "confident", I'm sure just about everyone can relate at some point.
Then a neighbor and I were talking abotu working out. I found out that she ordered Insanity and was telling me how much she loved it. So, we started trading programs and working out, and eating better. And the results are showing!!
I'm hoping that in the next 4 months, that I will get the results that I am hoping for and that Boot Camp will be easier. I'm trying to prepare and prep myself to avoid injury since I know that Boot Camp will be just as intense as Insanity.
10/22/10 Update : Since starting Insanity, I've noticed considerable changes and have lost weight, and my body fat has gone down as well. I'm was so impressed with the changes that I saw within myself that i decided to become a Coach and help other achieve those same results.
