During our early years of marriage, it was easy for me to find time for myself and the things I liked to do, which included regular workouts. I joined a gym with a friend and she was my motivator More ...
During our early years of marriage, it was easy for me to find time for myself and the things I liked to do, which included regular workouts. I joined a gym with a friend and she was my motivator every day. I became a certified aerobics instructor. I was in the best shape ever. It was an important priority. Eventually my life changed. I became a MOM for the first time, then again three years later. I found there was little time for my former interests and hobbies. My priorities changed. As my girls got older I tried to make time, but believed there was always something else that needed to be done “first”. I wasn’t overweight but definitely felt I needed toning. I joined a gym, but hardly ever got there. Then my friend (absmom) lost a lot of weight, almost effortlessly it seemed. Not only did she look (and feel) great, but her whole body was very toned. She introduced me to Power 90. This was the perfect solution for me. I can (and do) my workout any time of the day. I especially like the sculpt portion of the Power 90 program. I have learned to incorporate the program into my busy life at least 4-5 times a week, supplementing it with running, a true pleasure. I know that I'm better some days than others but stay motivated and focused on my personal needs too. Fortunately, weight loss has never been a real issue for me. But I’m still a work in progress because my goal is to be as healthy and fit as I can be. I can’t put a start and finish on my “transformation” because I’ll always aspire to be healthy, fit and a good influence on my family. I hope never to have an “after” because it’s important to me that this quest last forever. I found that my belief in the importance of fitness inspires me to share what I’ve learned and experienced for myself. This is important because it ties into your overall general health. Ironically, the things that fell aside are more important to my quality of life than ever…I have 2 active daughters and to keep up with them it’s more important now that I be in the best shape of my life!
