Raleigh, NC Not too long ago, I came to the realization that my weight was getting "out of hand". After a leisurely quarter mile walk to the rec center with my son, I noticed that I was breathing a little harder than usual.

After a leisurely quarter mile walk to the rec center with my son, I noticed that I was breathing a little harder than usual.
When we entered the building I decided to walk over and step on the scale. When the scale read 275, I was in total shock ! In high school I was about 205. Obviously, I just never paid attention to my weight over those last 16 years or so. This day was my "wake up call"
It was past time to do something, I really didn't like having trouble breathing (well, I guess that goes without saying). I "pulled out all the stops" !. Stopped eating fast food, stopped eating sweets and stopped drinking sodas. I even started on a diet program and tried to walk 2 miles ..3 times a week. It worked to an extent and I was able to get to 240 in about 4 months. However, over time I felt myself gaining the weight back and I needed a permanent solution.
So at the beginning of 2008, I weighed 250 lbs and was at a standstill. I happened to be awake early one Saturday morning and saw an infomercial for a workout system called P90X. I said "what the heck" and invested in my "home gym". The workouts were very challenging but I was determined to get this weight off. Three months later, I was 220 lbs. Today, I'm 204 lbs and feel like my old self again. I am about to start a second 90 day work out. It's time to "Just Bring It!" again.

The first part of my transformation was to lose weight. Before I was introduced to BeachBody, I weighed 275 lbs. I was very inactive and unmotivated. At that time, I couldn't leisurely walk a quarter mile without breathing heavy. I did not fail at any workout program because I simply did not try one. So really, I failed to try.
I finally started walking around a track maybe once a week and tried a diet program. I got down to 240lbs but gained 10lbs back..I was stuck at 250lbs. Then I joined a basketball league at work but started dreading running the fullcourt because my knees would for 2 days after playing. I was simply too heavy.
I saw the Hip Hop Abs commercial and ordered it right away. 2 weeks later I saw the P90X commercial and it ordered it. It was one of the BEST decisions I've ever made. 90 days later, I lost 30lbs and weighed 220lbs. From that point forward, I would outrun everbody down the court when I played basketball. My teammates were basically in shock. There was no more knee pain or fatigue. Instead, I was outlasting my opponent and taking full advantage when his fatigue set in.
As of today, I am 200 lbs. I am motivated and very happy with myself. I am passionate about getting fit and it shows. No one has seen me so passionate in over 15 years!!! It started with BeachBody and P90X, I was totally convinced to "Just Bring It!"
