Phoenix, AZ I am a stay-at-home mom to 2 young boys (5&7). I had gained quite a bit of weight even before my pregnancies, but I previously lost about 35 pounds over 6 months just by counting calories and walking. I eventually stopped walking and in a year I'd put back on 15 pounds. I loved how I felt and looked when I was at my lowest (110 lbs), and I wanted to get closer back to that weight, but I am a stay-at-home mom to 2 young boys (5&7). I had gained quite a bit of weight even before my pregnancies, but I previously lost about 35 pounds over 6 months just by counting calories and walking. I eventually stopped walking and in a year I'd put back on 15 pounds. I loved how I felt and looked when I was at my lowest (110 lbs), and I wanted to get closer back to that weight, but even more, I wanted to tone my muscles so I would look fit.
I initially signed on for Power 90, not P90X because I wanted to make sure I stuck with it. I was afraid if I signed on for P90X, it would be too hard and I would give up. I started Power 90 on 4-9-11 and finished just two days late (due to some small injuries). I lost 9.5 inches and 6.6 pounds, going down 6% in body fat and increasing my lean mass by 3 pounds. On 7-31-11 I started P90X Lean, and saw it thru to Day 90!!!! Started a round of ChaLean Extreme on 11-6-11 and finished it too! Second round of P90X started on 3-21-12, but only made it to Day 60 due to illness. Got off track and took a two month hiatus. Started a round of Brazil Butt Lift 7-23-12. It was challenging and super fun! Just what I needed to get re-motivated. I did two 30-day rounds and it gave me the courage to try Insanity! I started in October 2012 and finished on schedule! Dabbled a little with Turbo Fire and now have recommitted to another round of ChaLean Extreme (2-15-13 start date).
My big problem is sugar. I can't give it up. I see pretty great results when I minimize it, but just can't kick it for good, and not really sure I want to.
I hope to continue to gain muscle and decrease my body fat percentage well into the "fit" range, and stay under 120 pounds.
