I am a working mom who over the years, stopped making time for myself to take care of myself. I used to be a competitive figure skater, so I am used to an intense/regular workout schedule. As I got older, and busier, I worked out less and less, and as a result, old sports injuries took their toll and my weight crept up. I simply lost track of how important it was for my body to always be active.
Finally, I got sick of being frustrated by what I saw in the mirror, and decided to take action. That's where this journey begins.
I am currently in transition. I started with one program, which just wasn't the right fit, but it gave me the confidence to try a more intensive program. That's when I started Turbo Fire and haven't looked back since. I start each day with Shakeology, which fuels me all day, and I have made my workouts a priority. For one hour, every day, that hour is mine-- and the rewards for treating myself to that one hour have had a huge impact on my life. Not only do I feel better physically, but I feel invigorated and more energetic than I have in years. I have also made eating a well balanced diet with several small meals an absolute priority.
My ultimate goal is simple. While I would love to weigh less, I want to be have a healthier, stronger, more toned body. I also want to continue to set a good example for my son, teaching him how to live a healthy lifestyle. Although I have a ways to go on my fitness journey, every day I am thankful that I have finally found a program that I can look forward to doing each day.
