I'm Jane Meyer, from Grand Forks, ND: not quite the frozen tundra, but close. I currently own/work on 4 small businesses. I'm looking forward to the addition of being a MDB coach since it will help motivate me to reach my fitness goals, and it takes me back to my undergrad days when I majored in Health and Physical Education, and Sports Medicine. Since leaving college where I was very active in athletics and fitness, I have stayed relatively active. I've participated in some sort of sports activity every year, and love the camraderie and competition. Even though I have been active, the years do catch up and I found myself with an extra 10 pounds that I don't like very much. A few years ago I was convinced by a friend (now my coach-Jack) to try the P90 Master series. Actually it was not so much convincing as he bought them for me, and told me to use them. I'm glad he did. I had been working out regularly, playing ice hockey, getting dirty on the softball diamond, and relaxing on the golf course. Since using the BB products, I've dropped a few pounds, added a lot of strength and flexibility, and feel better all around. I see a definite improvement in my sports performance, and in my life in general. Becoming a coach seemed like the next logical step. I would love to use my knowledge of sports and fitness in general, combined with the BB products to help others reach their potential too.
2/28/08 Update.... We're getting there. I've been trying a bunchof the workouts that came with my coaches showcase pack. They are all awesome, but I still love the "boot camp" style of the p90 series. I have one last hockey tournament in a few weeks, and then........ March 17 is X DAY!!!!! I have roughly 3 months from the last hockey game, to the first softball game, so it is a perfect time to HIT IT HARD! More later gang.
4/6- still at it, things are going well, and life is good. hope you are all doing great!
5/7- ok, a few setbacks with my mom being ill for a while.... but all is well and I'm ready to hit it hard again. Hockey is over, and softball is gearing up. Looking forward to seeing how the workouts help my game this summer.
5/27- life is good, softball is going well and I'm feeling great. More later.......
Update time- maintaining same weight.... ugh... but feeling great, losing a few inches here and there, need to clean up the eating a touch I think. That should drop a few for me.
9-16-08 Still working on cleaning up the eating, but dropping inches slowly, so that is all good. Softball is done and hockey season is coming, working out betwween skating sessions will be a nice rotation. More later. 10-6-08 hockey getting into full swing, will be skating 3 times a week, and working out 3 times a week with a combo of p90X, and 10 minute trainers with cardio added.
11/18/08--- I love these workouts. We just had our first games of the season and I'm competing with and against hockey players, male and female, that are half my age. If I didn't stay in shape, I couldn't be out there with them. I'm skating 4 days a week, and working out with various BB selections 2 to 3 days a week. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
march 8 update- I have one week left of the hockey season and will do a bunch of cardio in addition to skating. After that, I get to start the X and finish a round of it before the bulk of the softball season gets rolling!
