When I started out at 248 pounds, massed a top a 5 foot one frame, I was not only unhappy, but quite unhealthy. I was 25 years old and had never known what it was like to be "thin". I had an epiphany while doing someones hair, and I had the proverbial light bulb go off in my head, "I eat too much". People had told me that for years, but of course I came up with every excuse in the book so that I wouldn't have to give up my beloved portion sizes.
That very day, I started my new life. I weighed myself, and was blown away at what I saw...248 pounds..."could that be right?". Then I took my measurements, "WHAT?". Being only five foot one, means that I am roughly 61 inches tall, but when I measured my hips, I was 60 inches around, I was as tall as I was round! Then came my waist, I always prided myself on how small my waist was until I saw the numbers and almost choked at my newly discovered 45 inch waist. My thighs were 38 inches, my bust was 55 inches, and I was determined to change. 7 years later, I am 32 years old with a 27 inch waist, 39 inch hips, 22 inch thighs, a 34 inch bust line, and 76 inches left behind in the past!
