I joined Beach Body mid January 2010. I'm really not sure of what to expect from joining, but hopefully I'll stay motivated to reach my fitness goals. I'm looking to lose about 30 pounds initially and to lead an overall healthier life. Looking forward to going back to the beaches of the Carribean, or Mexico and showing off a six pack instead of a keg. ;-)

I guess you can say that I started with the man in the mirror. I really did not like the person I had become. Fat, gluttonous, and complacent. I let myself spiral to out of control to a lifetime high weight of 282 pounds. As a former athlete (DB, if you can believe that), I could always jump back into the gym and realize quick results. That doesn't work anymore when you're over 40. I have a beautiful wife of 20 years and and two children in college. My wife still has a great figure and my kids are in great shape. You can easily find me in the family pictures....I'm the fat one. ;-)

I'm also a youth football coach. I knew I needed to make a change when I had trouble breathing and talking while demonstrating/instructing my players during practice. Something had to give.

My goal is to lose about 30 pounds for starters and to live an overall healthier life style. I want to make sure that I'm around to enjoy grandchildren one of these days. I'm now into week 3 of Insanity and feel soooo much better. (after the workouts that is). I'm beginning to see some changes to my body also. I've lost 13 pounds after a month of riding my spinner and 3 weeks of Insanity. I'm also following the Insanity nutrition plan as best I can which has helped tremendously. Still a long way to go. I must admit, I took a peek at month two of Insanity and I'm a little intimidated by what's to come. Wish me luck!!!
