Hi All! My name is J'Aimee Mechling and I'm a mom, wife and an aerobics instructor living in sunny South Carolina.
Exercise has always been in my life. My mom was also an aerobics instructor and gym teacher, a Phy Ed major and avid exerciser, and my dad caught the bug too. My brother and I were both active in many sports and were in the gym as soon as it was legal.

Like most, I went through a rough time in my early to mid twenties, depression and general cluelessness. I stopped exercising (or anything else for that matter) and got the heaviest I'd ever been in my life (including pregnancy!). Decision time came and I knew it was never going to get better until I got back in shape.
It was about this time that I was also diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, which finally explained a lot about the way I had been feeling. So- I got back in the gym. I took a lot of group fitness classes since I was comfortable in them thanks to my mom and couldn't slack off. It was then I decided to get certified. I couldn't skip out if I was the teacher!
I now teach a little bit of everything, Cycle, Pilates, Rep Reebok, Kickboxing, Circuit, you name it. That's why I like the Beachbody systems. They are well rounded in all departments, which is the only way you can succeed at changing your overall health. I won't go on about it here- you can read about it yourself.
I'm starting the journey now. I'm a point where I can be satisfied with where I am (healthy) or I can step it up a notch. Whether you are just starting out, or feel that it's time for a change, join me. I'll help in any way I can to make you the happiest and fittest you've ever been!

As I stated in the bio, being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) gave me a springboard to getting healthy again. By the time I was diagnosed, I was close to 165 pounds and miserable. And More ...
As I stated in the bio, being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) gave me a springboard to getting healthy again. By the time I was diagnosed, I was close to 165 pounds and miserable. And the one constant activity in my life, exercise, was gone. I wasn't even playing softball because I had no juice to do it. My diagnosis made me realize I had two choices, give in completely or fight back. I chose to fight.
I got certified to teach general exercise classes, follow by weight lifting, Pilates, water aerobics, cycling, anything I could find. Slowly, with my classes looking on, I began the uphill climb to where I once was.
After two high risk pregnancies and two C-section births, not to mention hitting 35, I find myself again at a crossroads. I'm definitely happier and healthier than 10 years ago, but am I content with where I am?
That's where P90X and the Beachbody programs come it. I want to see how far I can take it. And the on-line support will help me when I'm at my weakest and most fatigued. You all will support me too- just as much as I support you!
