Hey there. I am 53 years old, married with three children. Their ages are 28,26, and 22... and they are still living at home!
When I was younger I was into all kinds of sports - hockey, baseball, skiing, water skiing, softball, bowling, and horseshoes. When I turned 30, most of it stopped. (except bowling and horseshoes!) Don't know why, it just did. I also stopped smoking that year and put

I've been planning on losing weight and getting into shape for the past twenty-five years. I had plenty of time to do it and plenty of excuses not to start. Well, the time had come. I weighed 220 lbs and getting a little closer to 250 every month. I didn't like the rate at which I was getting bigger, nor did I like the way I looked and felt.
My two boys talked me in to buying P90X, so I took the shot. What did I have to lose? If I couldn't do it, perhaps they would get in better shape. win-win.
Along with P90x came P90X+. I read over all the literature (read: glazed over) and decided to start with P90X+.
WOW! Talk about a kick in the butt!. I thought I was in over my head, questioning my sanity levels that I thought I could do those workouts. (I had been a couch potato for some 20+ yrs) I'm 51 yrs old and had no business thinking I could do this.
Boy, was I wrong! Sure I struggled for the first few weeks, (months) but with each passing week my confidence started growing and my waist started shrinking.
(updated 6/2010)To date I have lost 66 lbs and gone from a size 40 to 31! (and the 31s are started to get baggy).
I finished with P90X+ and started P90X on June 22, 2009. I did an additional round of P90X and in Feb 2010, I started again what I thought would be the impossible...Insanity! The name says it all. I recently finished Insanity Round 3 and started Insanity: The ASYLUM May 2 and lovin' it!
My goal back in March '09, was to loose some weight, perhaps get some strength back...and to be able to do a pull-up! All that happened. Now I want the abs. why not? I now know that I can do it! And so can you.
I believe in Beachbody so much that I am now a Beachbody coach. It really does work.
