Chelmsford, MA Hey there. I am 53 years old, married with three children. Their ages are 28,26, and 22... and they are still living at home! When I was younger I was into all kinds of sports - hockey, baseball, skiing, water skiing, softball, bowling, and horseshoes. When I turned 30, most of it stopped. (except bowling and horseshoes!) Don't know why, it just did. I also stopped smoking that year and put Hey there. I also stopped smoking that year and put on 30 lbs. Over the next 20 years I added an additional 60+ lbs, topping the scales at 220 lbs. I had become the stereo-typical middle-aged male - short, bald, with a big beer belly. The winter of 2008/09 was it, I had decided that it was time to do something about it. I had watched the P90X Infomercials a few times and decided it was worth a try. Why not? I just needed to commit myself, which I knew I could, after all, I did stop smoking. March 23, 2009, I pressed play for the first time ... P90X+, and the rest, as they say, is history. So far, I have lost 66 lbs. My goal was to loose 50lbs, so I have surpassed that. I started P90X on June 22, 2009 and started another round on October 12, 2009 and then round III through Feb. 2010. Then it was on to Insanity! Holy Crap! Let me tell you...by far the toughest thing I have ever done. But not so tough that I started on round II in June, P90X/Insanity Hybrid in August, and Round III of Insanity Feb. 21, 2011. I get committed to The Asylum May 2, 2010 : ) I also became a Team Beachbody coach. I believe in the Beachbody products. Let me help you get there. Just ask, or go to: www.beachbodycoach.com/johnnyla. Thanks.

I've been planning on losing weight and getting into shape for the past twenty-five years. I had plenty of time to do it and plenty of excuses not to start. Well, the time had come. I weighed 220 lbs and getting a little closer to 250 every month. I didn't like the rate at which I was getting bigger, nor did I like the way I looked and felt. My two boys talked me in to buying P90X, so I took the shot. What did I have to lose? If I couldn't do it, perhaps they would get in better shape. win-win. Along with P90x came P90X+. I read over all the literature (read: glazed over) and decided to start with P90X+. WOW! Talk about a kick in the butt!. I thought I was in over my head, questioning my sanity levels that I thought I could do those workouts. (I had been a couch potato for some 20+ yrs) I'm 51 yrs old and had no business thinking I could do this. Boy, was I wrong! Sure I struggled for the first few weeks, (months) but with each passing week my confidence started growing and my waist started shrinking. (updated 6/2010)To date I have lost 66 lbs and gone from a size 40 to 31! (and the 31s are started to get baggy). I finished with P90X+ and started P90X on June 22, 2009. I did an additional round of P90X and in Feb 2010, I started again what I thought would be the impossible...Insanity! The name says it all. I recently finished Insanity Round 3 and started Insanity: The ASYLUM May 2 and lovin' it! My goal back in March '09, was to loose some weight, perhaps get some strength back...and to be able to do a pull-up! All that happened. Now I want the abs. why not? I now know that I can do it! And so can you. I believe in Beachbody so much that I am now a Beachbody coach. It really does work.
