My name is John. I have been married for 20 years to a wonderful woman, named Bonnie who is also my TBB coach. I have battled with my weight all my life. When I was younger I ate fast food and a lot of it. I struggled with my weight all my life. In elementary school I was big for my age, at that time I weighed 150 lbs in 6th grade. When I was in High School I weighed 300 lbs. As I grew into my early More ...
I struggled with my weight all my life. In elementary school I was big for my age, at that time I weighed 150 lbs in 6th grade. When I was in High School I weighed 300 lbs. As I grew into my early 20’s I went up to 315 lbs and wore a size 48 pants. At that time I was working at a job and the boss took time out and talked to me about my weight. He suggested I go see my family doctor about my weight. The doctor put me on a diet. I am glad I went because the result of that was that I got down to 250 lbs and to size 40 pants. I was married when I weighed 250 lbs and over the years my weight would go up and then I would diet and it would go down. Only to have it go back up again when I stopped dieting. During this time I did not think of exercising and getting fit.
A few years ago, I saw my wife, Bonnie getting involved with exercise. She had gotten up to 203 lbs and had enough. I dieted at that time and lost weight too, but I let the weight creep back on.
Even during Bonnie’s struggles with her weight, she still exercised 3 or 4 days a week, but I just sat around and did nothing. Then one day I was back up to 270 lbs again. Bonnie told me about something someone said about my gaining my weight back, it bothered me a lot and I started exercising with Bonnie. We exercised together for awhile, we did Hip Hop Abs and Power Half Hour, than we ran into problems with our schedules. I got home late from work and than we would work out and eat after we worked out, but that would make dinner time very late. I started working out in the morning but that didn't work out to well so I got disgusted and gave up. I really missed working out with Bonnie.
Bonnie got the workout program ChaLEAN Extreme and was planning to start it on January 5, 2009. She asked me if I wanted to try it. We did the first workout together and I liked it. Chalene’s program is one that I felt like I could do. The program is very challenging. So as I went through the program I set mini goals for myself so I didn't get disgusted and quit.
We have rearranged the evening so we can workout together. We eat a light dinner and than wait a half hour or so and then workout. I am really motivated and feel I can succeed.
This year is a new year of fitness and health for me.

In the Burn phase of ChaLEAN Extreme and I lost 11 lbs, 1” off my chest, and 1 /2" off my waist.
It was a very good start. In the Push phase I lost an additional 5 more pounds for a total of 16 pounds
I feel really great. This is all due to ChaLEAN Extreme, a good diet and my coach and wife Bonnie.

During the Lean phase, Bonnie had to get a procedure done, everything went fine with her. But I think that the whole surgical experience took a lot more out of me that I realized. I started snacking a bit and my motivation dropped for awhile. I gained 2 pounds back. Last week we started the Lean for Life phase of ChaLEAN Extreme and I am getting back on track with my eating.
My final stats for ChaLEAN Extreme are total weight loss of 15 pounds, 1 inch off my chest, 1 inch off my waist and 3 inches off my hips.
I am very satisfied with my results and am thinking of doing a new round of ChaLEAN Extreme after the Lean for Life month is done.
