I work as a software developer. Since most of the time is spent in front of the computer, I have slowly gained weight over the years (2-3 lbs/yr). Now, at 43 years old, I know it's time to get going again. I can imagine it will only get harder the longer I wait.

At 20 yrs old, I was around 150 lbs. Since then (23 yrs later), I have steadily gained weight until I weighed 215. Just about this time last yr (Oct 2008), I decided to start exercising again. I More ...
At 20 yrs old, I was around 150 lbs. Since then (23 yrs later), I have steadily gained weight until I weighed 215. Just about this time last yr (Oct 2008), I decided to start exercising again. I joined the local YMCA, did a lot of cardio (elliptical), and weight training at home (free weights). I have seen decent results, as now I weigh 180. I feel that I haven't made any progress the last several months, so now I've decided to start P90x. I started Saturday, 10-24-09, on the classic program. I hope to be much more toned, and 170 lbs or less after the 90 days.

Update:
As of now, 4/25/2010, I now weigh 163. In 2 1/2 years, I have lost a total of 52 lbs.
