I love snowboarding and mountain biking, which are my favorite winter and summer sports, respectively. I also love hiking, and am lucky to live within minutes of the Appalachian Trail. I also play softball, enjoy ice skating and rollerblading, frisbee and frisbee golf, or pretty much anything that gets me outdoors and active. I'm hoping to learn how to kiteboard this summer. After I finished my fourth half-marathon 2 years ago, I swore off running, thinking I could stay in shape without it. The last two years have proven me wrong, and my ill-fitting clothes are the last More ...
After I finished my fourth half-marathon 2 years ago, I swore off running, thinking I could stay in shape without it. The last two years have proven me wrong, and my ill-fitting clothes are the last straw! So now I'm in the fourth week of following a marathon training guide, which means running 6 days a week. I'm also doing fitness classes at my gym, including Zumba, yogalates, yoga, and sometimes kickboxing. I also enjoy playing on my Wii Fit, and try to log time on that every day. Finally, I end my day with a 20 minute Rodney Yee yoga session. Even with the additional exercising, I feel the running will ultimately be the key player in building my endurance, and losing weight.
