Manchester, NH I rode and raced bicycles (road, mnt, cx) up until my early 30's. Unfortunately, a few setbacks over the past couple of years kept me from that. Now, I'm working to get myself back to that level of fitness. I have been through P90X, RevAbs and am currently in my 3rd round of Insanity (my favorite!). I live in NH with my wife & 2 adopted dobermans. We maintain a vegan lifestyle. I rode and raced bicycles (road, mnt, cx) up until my early 30's. Last spring I was determined to make a change. But 20 years of sciatica finally caught up to me. I could barely stand, sit, walk... forget about exercise. I went to just about every type of doctor. The only thing that made me feel better was sitting around and eating!
By Jan, 2012, after about 7 months, things had improved enough that I could do some light exercising. At this point I was around 212 lbs (6'2"). My Physical Therapist was still working on two other nerve entrapments in my glute and legs. But I was able to start P90X. Then add in Insanity... then Insanity again...then some more...
Down about 25 pounds, and feeling so much better, both physically and mentally. I still got a little ways to go to meet my goals, but I'm confident I hit them by the end up 2012!

I started More ... 09/04/12 I had been doing a few "place holder" weeks of Insanity before my Challenge Group starts next week. But, my knee decided other-wise. I'm meeting with the Orthopedic Surgeon tomorrow, but More ... 08/05/12 I'm done the second week of round 2. Insanity is never easy, but this time things seem smoother. I'm taking less breaks, and the ones I do take are pretty short.
After my first round, I More ... View Blog
