I live in Hawaii and if you have ever visited here, the first thing you will notice is that there aren't many skinny Hawaiians. The food is very fattening and not very good for you..but oh, so Ono! I gained 20 lbs. within a year of moving here. Now I have lost 25 lbs. since New Years and just posted a new picture. I have My 30 year high school reunion is coming up in March and I want to be 25

I am going through a LOT of personal changes right now, I have just moved back to Hawaii from a turbulent year in the Bay Area. What I thought would be a really fun move was really not. I am also More ...
I am going through a LOT of personal changes right now, I have just moved back to Hawaii from a turbulent year in the Bay Area. What I thought would be a really fun move was really not. I am also trying to put my marriage back together. I had initially separated from my husband when I left to go to San Francisco and came back here with the hopes that maybe we could work things out.

I do a 3 day fruit flush about twice a month and then try to stick to healthy foods in between. My diet strategy is sort of simple. I try not to focus too much attention on it then I don't seem to stress about it so much and end up eating better healthier foods for me. I give myself one day a week to have ANYTHING I want to eat, no matter how fattening or not good for me. Sometimes I indulge, other times I don't. It helps me to know that I have that day coming up when I watch my friends eating cheesburgers while I stick to my low cal caeser salad at lunch. My cheeseburger day is coming!

I did a whole round of P90X before I moved to CA and lost about 35 lbs. But, I will admit, I don't do the pull ups and I really focused more on the upper and lower body workouts. I really didn't like the yoga one. Endless vinasas (sp). Then I gained a little back in CA so I hired a personal trainer and worked out doing "slow burn" or "super slow" workouts. It really toned me up, but I didn't lose anything.

Now I'm back in Hawaii and after a whirlwind trip across the country and my move, ready to get back into good shape. After all, we don't wear a lot of clothes around here. I am getting it on with P90X again, round 2! Love it! Getting going takes some getting going!

I am inspired by Tony Horton, he gets my lazy butt up off the computer chair, where I spend way too much time between work and off time.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
