My issues with my weight started when I was in grade school. I was in the fifth grade at a catholic school and we had to wear a specific dress code. Every once in a while we would have jeans day and I remember putting on my jeans and not being able to button them and those were the only pair of jeans I owned, so I had to wear them anyway. I was so embrassed that I tried to keep my shirt over them so no one would see. From then on I kept gaining weight. By the time I was in eighth grade I was 5'2" and 136 pounds and a size 10,(I was wearing the same size clothes as my mother). I have a very small build so that weight on me was a tremendous amount. I was very chunky!!! Finally, when I was a freshman in high school my mother made a bet with me to see who could lose the most weight in one month and whoever won had to buy the other a christmas present. I lost!! I soon found other ways to lose lose weight and that was by eating a candy bar for lunch and drink diet soda (and in my eyes that ment starve yourself). So that is what I did! At fourteen years old in 6 months I went from 136 lbs. to 112 lbs.
From that point on I struggled with bulimia and anorexia for about 7 years. When I was 20 years old I got very depressed and tried to come-it suicide, I dropped out of college and became a anorexic couch potato for two months. I finally got my head together and went back to college.
I grew out of being bulimic and became anorexic again, I also became an obessive exerciser and would work out for 2 hours four times a week, running 6 miles and lifting weights.
That is when finally my life changed. I was in the best shape of my life and I found out I was single and pregnant at 23 years old. My life changed when I had my son, because I knew it wasn't all about me anymore it was about him and his needs. I didn't exercise at all during my pregnancy, but after I had him I did start exercising a little starved myself here and there and I lost the baby weight really fast. When my son was 3 years old we finally decided it was time to get married. About 3 months before our wedding my finance got into a bad car accident and had moderate brain damage. He had to go to physical and mental therapy for over a year and half, four days a week. That didn't help my situation. So we were struggling through his personality changes and also his physical limitations too. So I had already made plans to start cosmetology school and I wasn't going to put it off because I had wanted to go for over seven years and I need a change in my employment situation. On top of going to school full time, working three days a week and taking care of my husband and our three year old I didn't heve time to workout. Finally, my weight hit its highest point when I was in cosmetology school. I was 141 lbs and 5'4" when I was 28 years old. I bought slim n 6 in 2004. I graduated cosmetology school and got a job being a cometologist and joined a fancy weight loss program and lost 12 lbs and then I found out I was pregnant with child number two six years later. After I had my daughter I went back on the fancy weight loss program and started walking three days a week and regained my a slim figure or what I thought was a slim figure but I still felt that I wanted more, I wasn't quite there yet. At this point I hadn't worn shorts in over seven years.
Finally, I started doing slim n 6 twice a week in January 2008 and I would walk about 2 miles two to three times a week. I started seening some results a little toning here and there but I needed and wanted more of a challenge. So I decided to get Power 90 and I have been doing it since March 26, 2008 and I finished on June 26th, 2008 and then started right into P90X. I started the programs at 5'4" and 126 lbs and I lost 12 pounds and I weigh 114 lbs. I went from wearing a size 6 to a 2. I have done many of the Beachbody programs and I am currently starting Turbo Fire, but might do a hybrid of that and P90X/P90. I can wait to see what I can acheive with . I now am confident enough with my body to wear short shorts and skirts. I feel great and I love the way I look. I can't wait to see how I can change my body even more from the best fitness programs around.
