My story: Well, I'm 46 years old. I'm very happily married to another Beachbody Coach (screen name:mkap), and have been blessed with 3 Incredible children: Jeff 23 yrs, Kristin 22 yrs, and our little guy Cody 8 yrs. (the older 2 are also Beachbody Coaches!).
Anyway, for me true weight loss was not my big motivator. True, although I had always been super light growing up, 40 took a toll on my metabolism and for the very first time in my life, my loving husband was forced to tell me, "Honey, you really can't wear That dress anymore..." - although I was devastated, the thought really wasn't enough to motivate me to make any changes. It was when the aches and pains started setting in - now THAT's a motivator. I said to myself "I'm 45. If I'm having aches and pains at 45, what'll I feel like at 70?? Will my body even make it??" Beyond that, my Mother's family has a history of heart problems, some diabetes and some liver problems - neither her nor her parents made it past 60!! One night I rolled over in the middle of the night and something reeeaaalllly funky and Extremely painful happened in my chest. It was muscular, but I would have sworn I had thrown out a rib head (chest bone). THAT's what truly got me going. I knew I had to start exercising. None of my muscles or joints were acting appropriately and my backbones kept slipping out of place. The question was WHAT to do??
Fortunately, while my daughter was home from college flipping channels one night, I happened by while Tony Horton was 'bringing it'! It immediately sucked me in. I made her flip back, I called in my son, I decided then and there P90X would be right for all of us. (Read on for 'the Rest of the Story'!! What happened next...)

Well, 6 weeks into P90X, my metabolism had completely shifted back to pre- 40! Before starting the program I was regularly between 124 & 128 lbs. 6 weeks into the program, I was weighing a steady 117! That's 8-10 lbs in 6 weeks!! I was stunned. Even after having spent hours watching the Milliondollar Body Game Winner stories, and even though I had been truly convinced that the program would work, it was still stunning when I got to see it work for ME! I have to tell you, I truly enjoy changing clothes everyday. I've traded in my high-waisted 'Mommy' jeans for some cute 'hip' ones my daughter would wear.
Do I even need to say the best part? The aches and pains are gone!! My cardiovascular is up and I can jog back and forth to my 7 year old's school keeping up with him on his bicycle - I've NEVER been able to jog/run. 'Cheer' yes, jog NO! It's truly a blessing!
At the 6 week mark, after ordering my Coaches sample pack (we became Coaches after the 1st week of falling in love with the program) and after already reaching my goals, I decided to rotate through all the other Beachbody programs so I could help others choose the right programs for them. So far we've helped my sister Leigh Ann find Beachbody and she's lost 17 lbs in just 6 weeks! My Dad, who after only 7 workouts with P90, has lost 5 pounds. My brother-in-law Greg is now sporting 16 inch guns (now granted, he's always had pretty good arms, but still... 16 inchers!!). My Husband Mark and I couldn't be more pleased. We're also very pleased that all of the above mentioned have chosen to become Coaches and are each already motivating several others to Get Fit! That's what the Beachbody Revolution is all about and we're ALL really Excited to be a part of it!! Maybe you'll choose to jump on board?! Call me or write me if we can help you with anything.
