My name is Kelly. I am female and 43 and have no idea what has happened to my body in the last few years. I used to be the one that everyone always referred to as "Barbie" or "you are so skinny Kelly". I always worked out, sometimes spurts of intense bouts, sometimes not. However, I NEVER looked as heavy and out of shape as I do now. I recently went on vacation to the Bahamas and saw pics of myself......nuff said. I used to think it was so awesome to see overweight people - their before and after pics and thought wow - what a great accomplishment/challenge to be able to transform yourself. I was never overweight so I didnt have that opportunity, a new haircut was about as far of a change as I could get. Times change and apparently, so did my body. Crap. I am so not liking the visual right now. I have found myself "hiding" out, not wanting to go out because I dont feel cute in anything I wear. I can give excuse after excuse of how this happened but I wont. What's the point right? It is what it is and I am finally at the acceptance point where I am willing to do whatever it takes to change it. I know how good I can look and feel. This is not it. I am a relatively good/clean eater but, I have grown to love Corona over the past few years - Corona doesnt love me. I have had P90X in an opened box in my garage for over a month (I Had it shipped express too). I walk by it everyday, in clothes that dont fit, in a body I dont even know anymore and say - tomorrow. Well Monday is tomorrow. Today is Friday and I will spend the weekend preparing for the 90 day challenge I am about to embark on. 90 little days right? I WILL do it! I have started by telling everyone at work, at my hair salon tonight and my neighbors that took my before pics tonight that I am starting P90X on Monday 2/23/09 Pushing Play is about to begin.....
