I am a 28 yr. old married female that is looking to get in shape again. I have always been very athletic but due to my busy work schedule and laziness have allowed myself to become too comfortable with living a sedentary lifestyle. My goal is to lose 50 lbs and improve my overall physical health.

I have graduated my first round of P90X. So far I have lost 15 lbs and about 13 inches total in body measurements. Beachbody has given me a new lease on life for sure.

I have always been a tomboy and very athletic but I have always struggled with maintaining my weight. After I left high school, a setting which provided the extra circulum activies, and entered the wonderful world of adulthood, working all types of hours to support myself, I started to gain weight. Over the years I have joined gyms and purchased workout dvds but could never stay committed for more than a couple of months.

My first beachbody product was Hip-Hop Abs. I lost about 20 lbs; this was 3 years ago. Then my schedule got busy again, I became lazy and bored with the routine and just stopped.

After a while, I started to notice that my clothes weren't fitting me the way they use to and I had to go up in size (4 to be exact). My confidence started to dwindle and I became very self-conscience about my weight. I had picked up on bad eating habit and started smoking cigarettes. I started to develop the onset of acid reflux. The change came about when I woke up in unbelieveable pain from the acid reflux. I asked a friend that happens to be a doctor what could be done to relieve the pain. She told me the condition is attributed to being overweight and can be amplified by smoking. I immediately quit the smoking but did not start exercising until August 2009. By then, I was disgusted with myself and knew that I needed to make a change.

I had seen the P90X infomercials but never though I could complete the workouts so I just liked looking at the commercial and dreaming of what could be. This happened for a whole year before I got up the nerves to say "I'm Doing It". I order P90X and decided to take the challenge and commit to 90 days. My oh my! The first two weeks were KILLER but I decided to keep pushing play. Eventually I started seeing the changes in my strength but not so much on the scale. One tid bit about me is I want things now and for some crazy reason I thought I could lose 50 lbs pounds overnight so I became very hard on myself. During the course of my first round, I learned a very valuable lesson which is it won't happen overnight. I had let myself go for 3 yrs and it will take time to reverse what has been done. Once I realized this, I started to set realistic goals for myself and I now enjoy working out everyday because every little bit counts toward the major goal.

I have become more optimistic and have gained a better sense of self. I am going to pursue a personal training certification starting Jan 2010. Thank you beachbody for putting out products that truly works for those that are willing to put in the work. Also, thanks to all of my early morning workout buddies for keeping me motivated.

I figure I will achieve my goal by the summer and will probably feel more comfortable with posting my pics then (Maybe February. Keep posted!)
