At 34 I was at my worst at 249 pounds ,and only being 5 foot 8 inches, I didnt feel healthy at all. Two years ago I joined a local personal fitness training place and did pretty well getting down to 215 pounds in just under a year. After leaving there I joined a local gym and the commitment was not always there and I got back up to 227. With my long work hours and any other excuse I could find, it always seemed hard "getting to the gym". Along with gaining some weight back came high blood pressure and I was put on BP medication for that, which I hated!
I got to a point that I wasnt feeling healthy again and before I wasted all the time and money I had spent to get somewhat in shape, I told myself that I had to do something before I gained it all back. I always saw the beachbody commercials and was skeptical at first. I was looking at P90X first, but decided on the original Power 90 workout to start because of a back disc issue. I ordered my discs and Coach Rob was the first person to answer a question I posted about shakeology and vitamins and he was very helpful. I said, this is the kind of person I want to help me thru this and requested him as my coach! Best decision I ever made. I was completely taken off of my Blood Pressure meds almost two months ago, which was a huge goal for me. I already have my P90X videos ready to go as my next program and I am setting a goal of 185 pounds when I complete that. Between the flexibility of working out at home, the shakeology, and the clean eating plans, I do not ever see me going back to my old 249 pound body.
