Sylvania, OH I started working out when I was 20 and weighed in at 199 pounds (I'm 5'6"). My family was discouraging in helping me to lose weight, and so I decided to pursue it on my own. I would work out before work every morning for one hour. Even with my two pregnancies I continued working out and was able to come home after delivery in my pre-pregnancy clothes. Just a few short hours I started working out when I was 20 and weighed in at 199 pounds (I'm 5'6"). My family was discouraging in helping me to lose weight, and so I decided to pursue it on my own. I would work out before work every morning for one hour. Even with my two pregnancies I continued working out and was able to come home after delivery in my pre-pregnancy clothes. Just a few short hours before delivering my son, I had worked out riding a stationary bike. My fitness level helped me have very easy deliveries (my first was 45 minutes and my second was 1 hour).
From that day forward, I have never looked back. I am now 46 and in the best shape of my life at 125 pounds and 5'6" tall. I have muscles and an attitude that I never knew was hidden inside me. My biggest transformation took place about a year and a half ago when I purchased the Chalene Johnson Extreme workouts. These are the best. I can't live without it. However, I incorporate power walking on my treadmill, Turbo Jam workouts, and my favorite - walking my Golden Retriever every day. I still work out first thing in the morning (5 a.m. - ick) but that way I am not disturbed and NOTHING takes up that time I have set aside that hour to hour and a half just for me. In the evenings is when I walk my dog, approximately 3 to 4 miles. Some people may say I am obsessed with exercise, and maybe I am, but I don't feel that is a bad thing. It is what makes me strong and confident. I am self-employed and run a transcription service out of my home and am always busy, so my workouts keep me sane. My husband and kids are so supportive of me, and they reassure me all the time how proud they are of me. But as all the Beach Body workouts will reinforce to you, if you don't eat clean, you won't get the body you want. I can proudly say I have the body I have always wanted. It's a lot of hard work but I love it. People cannot believe it when I tell them I used to weigh almost 200 pounds. However, I reassure them that anything is possible. Weight loss and exercise is a choice you have to make, and it is a choice I will stick with for my lifetime. It makes me happy when people notice my muscles or just my confidence, and I love sharing with them my techniques, ideas and offer suggestions whenever possible.
