ABOUT ME: I am a mother of two that has bounced back post pregnancy on both occasions but was never fullly satisfied with the long-term program. With weight slowly creeping on over the years to follow, visits to the gym were sometimes interrupted, my lack of workout creativity made the sessions repetitive and then I was laid off in March 2009. I had to cut expenses and one of those was the $50 per month gym membership. I tried to make the treadmill a regular habit, burning a bonus 200 calories but obviously it wasn't enough. I was looking for something and nothing was yet "clicking".
I knew my online friend Laura had dramatic weight loss from some kind of "Turbo" workout, and from her pictures from Turbo Camp it looked like a group exercise. I was very happy for her but never saw myself as a class workout type person. I tried that in the past and it simply wasn't my "thing". It was a year or so later that we reconnected on Facebook and one day in July 2009 she posted a status updated how Turbo Jam can burn 1,000 calories in one hour. This grabbed my attention and my first reaction was to find proof (ok -- disprove!) of the claim... well, it turned out several people stood by the claim and that it counted towards a male at about 220 pounds and as a smaller framed woman they burned anywhere between 500-600 calories. Wow! Okay... I found a used copy to try it out (mind you, I had no idea about Team Beach Body dot com)... at the time I was only burning 200 calories from 20 minutes HIIT cardio on the treadmill. I happened to be at Target and they had a markdown on the Sportline Heart Rate watch to test against the claims and to my delightment the claims were true! I quickly became addicted to the program I never would have thought was "me"... I thought I was a gym girl and definitely not a dancer! Nonetheless I found myself indulging in the 550+ calories burning cardio (some days over 600) in just 40 minutes and muscle burning Turbo Sculpt, the energy and definition has been obvious! I have to admit, I LOVE the punching and kicking! I feel so powerful!

7/29/2010 Can you believe it? We're already more than halfway through the year! I am 110% addicted to TurboFire! I've done this workout nearly everyday since it's delivery in June and have incorporated it into my P90X round. I finish P90X at the end of August and to be honest REALLY miss ChaLean Extreme. I'm excited that I'll be starting my second round of ChaLean about the same time I started it a year ago! 1/25/2010 INSANITY has been amazing! It is truly a test of willpower making it through the routines (or starting up again after you've paused to break).. however once you get through a workout one or two times it FLIES BY! This is Week 4 so I am almost halfway through! Gotta say, I wish I drank the P90X Recovery Formula after my ChaLEAN Extreme workouts because they definitely help me feel energized the next day!
1/2/2010 Last week I completed 90 days of ChaLEAN Extreme and it was amazing! 21.5" lost all over including 4.5" in the waist and 3.5" in the hips. The before and after speak for themselves! 5 days a week at less than an hour a day, the program is an awesome time investment! I cannot wait to start INSANITY Monday!
10/30/2009 I just completed my 30 day measurements. Well, they're 40 day measurements because I pulled my back on Day 28. Nonetheless, I have lost 7.76" all over, the biggest loss being in my thighs (2.25, 1.5) and hips (2"). I started Phase 2 yesterday and it felt GREAT workout out again. 9/20/2009 ChaLEAN Extreme finally came Friday, I am starting on Monday! I have to say, I am really seeing the midsection results from Turbo Jamming for 4 weeks though!
9/12/2009 Some people may try to tell me I'm not overweight, I do take offense. Numbers don't mean anything, and when I don't feel comfortable in clothes I wear or don't see the proper shape in pictures or the mirror -- I am not in the shape I want to be.
I've always enjoyed being active, especially with how I enjoy food... I've been in a bit of a rut and it was learning about Turbo Jam from a friend that perked my curiosity and I think I found something I *WANT* to do!
After doing Turbo Jam for a few weeks and feeling the energy and seeing the tone, my boyfriend and I visited SeaWorld and had pictures taken during the Dolphin Encounter... when I saw those pictures I was a bit disappointed by the shape of my body. When I returned (I brought the DVDs but sadly my room didn't have a DVD player) I hopped back into my workouts and considered taking the next step step sooner than later: ChaLEAN Extreme. It's ordered, hopefully I will receive my package next week!
