My husband and I are partners in our transformation experience. We are following the P90X program, including both the nutrition and workout guidelines. My biggest issue was not eating enough - my weekday schedule is really hectic and, over the past 10-15 years, ended up with a routine of normally skipping breakfast, often skipping lunch, subsisting on black coffee for most of the day and then eating dinner as my only meal. I also rarely did any structured exercise. We have been on the program for one week, and I am now eating on a set schedule, five times per day every few hours plus a recovery drink after our daily exercise. Too soon to see much difference yet but I can already feel changes in my energy level. I am down to one cup of coffee per day and don't miss it at all. The workouts are hard, I can't do a lot of reps yet on some of them, but am getting better every time.
