I have been working as an engineer for about 8 years. My wife has just been hired as a teacher in the functional academics program, teaching children with disabilities. My wife and I both are very passionate about helping persons with disabilities, as it should be, because our oldest child, my daughter, has Down Syndrome. She will be 7 in October, and is very healthy. My son just turned 5 May 1st. I'm an identical twin, and actually live about 6 blocks from him and his family. We are very close.

Well, I never really thought much about staying in shape, I did the so many push-ups a night thing to stay in shape, and played in the over thirty division in softball for recreation, and thought I was fine. I had played sports most my life, and played in the college recreation leagues, so I didn't think much about healthy diet, or exercise programs. I even coached my son’s soccer team, so why worry about exercise. Well I was wrong, before my very eyes I developed the gut, and was informed I had high cholesterol. Even that was not enough to do anything. It was when I realized I needed to be around for my kids as long as I could, especially my daughter, now age six. You see my daughter has Down syndrome, and will most likely need some assistance for the rest of her life. If I were to continue like I had been, not really exercising, not watching what I ate, and just hope everything would be fine, well that was just not good enough. So for me to be around as long as I could for her and my son, things needed to change. I got the gym membership, and started the working out routine with no real success, so at 182lbs, a friend of mine told me about Power 90. I didn’t listen much to him, because, yes, I’ve tried the workout videos before, and as you could tell I was still 182 lbs. and in bad shape. I needed something that would work, because being around for my kids was too important. So I continued to work at the gym, and even ran a little. It wasn’t long before I got discouraged because I felt like I was working out hard and no results. Well, whether the persistence of my friend( soon to be coach), or the results I saw in him I purchased Power 90 with him, and was told also I needed to read the material and listen to the diet information on the web. Well, I actually loved the slow start and gradual workout process that you perform at your own speed on the DVD’s. I was going to be in this for the 90 day period, with diet change and all, with before picture taken as a motivator. I was shocked at the way I looked. I had no idea my gut stuck out like that. Power 90 began, I tried to not miss a night, and I began eating 5 to six portioned meals a day, as instructed by my new coach. I actually began to feel better about myself, whether I saw results yet or not. I felt like I had a plan and a goal. I’m currently at the 60 day mark and excited about the way I feel, and the way I eat, and the way I look. All of which are icing on the cake knowing I’m doing something that is better for me, and makes me a healthier person, so I can be there for my son, and especially my daughter for as long as she needs me. I plan on starting P90X August 1st with my coach, and currently I’m take the slimming formula, as well as, the recovery formula (which is heaven in a drink by the way). I’m currently at 160 lbs, down over 20lbs, and actually found out I have some abs (surprise). My body fat percentage is down to 16% last checked. I also had an age assessment done a week ago. I was thrilled with the results it said I had the flexibility, heart rate, and recovery body assessment of a 25 year old (I’M 36!!). I don’t think I mentioned, but I’m an identical twin, well not really identical anymore, not since Power 90 (THANKS!) FYI, I’m now a coach also, and a Club member. My reasons started out for my children, to be a part of there life as long as I could, which I know I’m on the road to achieving, so whether my kids like it or not Dad plans on being around along time. Oh yeah, and mom starts Power 90 in a couple of weeks. My daughters disability has changed my family in many ways, mostly for the better, in the way we view everything, and take nothing for granted. I thank my coach who turned me on to Power 90, because this program, I feel will ensure I see all the changes in my families lives for years to come.
