My name is Heather and I am overweight. I am having a very hard time getting and then staying motivated to do anything that requires any extra effort. I work 2 jobs and am spread pretty thin, but I really want to be thin and healthy. I want to train over the winter for running 5k's and maybe a 10k in the summer. So.. I have to hunker down and work hard. I am looking for people who will help

I'm just so uncomfortable at this weight.I know I look like I don't care about myself and for years maybe I just thought I'd just get thin and healthy over time.... that it'd just happen. I have a hard time getting and staying motivated and the littlest things will become my excuse not to work out or watch what I eat.. "Well it's Thanksgiving... so I should just eat what I want & worry later"... "Well I shouldn't have to work out today cause it's Thanksgiving". I fought these thoughts this year (2009) with a vengeance. I worked out in my living room on the morning of... and watched what I ate throughout the day... and the next morning I found that I had actually lost weight on Thanksgiving and felt GREAT! So here I am moving on for Christmas! Let's just see what I can do!
