I am a 48 year old wife and mother of two teenage girls, 17 and 14. I am recovering from Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Lyme disease, after finding the best doctor in the world. I am now able to exercise without restrictions, so I decided to get back into shape using Slim in 6. While I am not overweight according to the scales, I do have some "squishy" areas on my thighs, stomach, rear end and below my shoulder blades, which I hate the most, for some reason!
I also chose to do a program like this because I need exercise to feel better. I wanted to do something very structured, which SI6 is, but it allows flexibility as far as the intensity each day, and the modifications. Because of my health problems, I have days where I am not as strong as others. I can do Start it Up! or Ramp it Up!, depending on how I am feeling. I love this program!
I am an RN, and know how vital exercise and stretching is. I find Beachbody is very in tune to safety in getting fit. I look forward to purchasing other Beachbody products after I complete Slim in 6.

It's now the beginning of November, and I'm ashamed to admit that I've fallen off the wagon. Back in late May, my oldest daughter had to be hospitalized for depression and anxiety. It totally blew me away emotionally. I neglected my exercise, barely working out. In September I started South Beach Diet; lost 10 pounds in Phase 1, then promptly got off the program when high school marching band took over my family's life. I've regained all my weight, and am struggling to find pants to wear to work, not to mention my jeans, which I love! As mentioned before, I have numberous health issues which cause me to have to work up very gradually on an exercise program, so I don't go into a flare of extreme pain and fatigue. I've requested a new coach, and hope to hear from her soon. I'm determined to take better care of my body. I've been listening to a motivational Christian speaker, Joyce Meyer, on Discipline and Self Control. With the Holy Spirit to guide me, I know I CANNOT fail. I only need to lean on my Lord and Savior to get victory in my life. To that end, I am starting over TODAY! Stay tuned for the next edition.
