As of 7/6/09, I have been married for almost 22 years to a P90X grad. I am the mother of six children ages 21, 18, 16, 15(boys), and 9 and 6(girls). I'm a Pre-K director/principal for the Christian school our children attend(ed).

Transformation story

Started weight watchers in late spring of 2005, lost 35 lbs, but plateaued for 6 months. Did one round of P90X (very modified version), and lost another 30 lbs. I had fun with Turbo Jam. I enjoyed More ...
Started weight watchers in late spring of 2005, lost 35 lbs, but plateaued for 6 months. Did one round of P90X (very modified version), and lost another 30 lbs. I had fun with Turbo Jam. I enjoyed it, but I have a personality that needs some change to stay engaged. I took a long break from September 2008 to late March 2009. I have gained back some weight. More than I want to admit gaining. UGH! Took another megabreak from September 2009 to almost June 2010.
I am now in my early 50's have a wonderful husband and six children. I want to see my two youngest, elementary-aged daughters graduate from high school and get married so I can dance at their weddings!
I am on a nutrition program which is monitored by health professionals, so I have my blood pressure taken weekly and weigh in three times per week because of a medical condition.
I am starting--again--but easy because I have aggravated my hip flexor and knees in past attempts at a healthier life. That made me less interested in working out than I am anyway. :-)

June, 2011-I reached a milestone in weight loss-I have lost 100+ lbs! I also began a modified version of P90X with my husband. 4:30 a.m. is really early, but we are doing it. My sore muscles actually feel pretty good. I know it means I am working toward my long term goal of health and fitness in a body I feel good about.
