I am in my early thirties and live in Canada. I enjoy adventure activities like climbing, snowboarding and most of all whitewater kayaking. Sometimes my weight makes these activities harder and less comfortable. So I wanted to lose some weight and gain some strength so my gear fits me better and I can enjoy my activities even more!

I began the Insanity program on February 22 2010. I think this will give me enough time to see some results before the paddling season starts in the spring and for my trip to china and SE asia in April. I'll try and update every week or so. Looking for some like minded kayakers or adventure type people to help motivate each other.

Feb 22, Fit test was hard! I know I didn't do very well on the junping ones because it was early in the morning and I didn't want to wake the hubby. So I know I can improve on those ones!
Feb 28th, one week done, some days were harder than others. Today's power and resistance kicked my ass but I stuck with it til the end! (I didn't help that my dog had got into a bag of brown sugar and came downstairs mid video with a sugar beard, naughty!)
Mar 23- second week done went pretty well and I can start to feel my abs activating as i work out! I didn't have much motivation today but I still made it through the pure cardio worout, I just didn't push myself as hard, still better than giving up right! I am also going for a paddle this afternoon. woot!
March 15th- Into week 3 and my muscles are starting to feel quite fatigued. Before I would run out of breath first, now my legs seem to be giving out first. I will try and eat more protein and take some vitamins. Workouts are starting to get repetative but I start new videos next week!
March 22nd- I missed four workouts because I was sick but I am back in it today. Not feeling 100% but this is the insanity recovery week to set me back up for the harder and longer workouts. Hopefully they will yeild great results!
March 24th- I am feeling unmotivated so I am trying to fcus on the results I want. Also since I am not going to complete insanity this tme around because of a 3 week vacation in mid april, I bumped up my Insanity schedule so I am starting the harder workouts as of today. Whew it kicked my ass.
April 5th- One week till my 3 week vacation starts, so i'll wait to check my measurements until just before I leave. I am really sore from paintballing and climbing on Saturday, so I hope the workouts don't make it too much worse. I am definitely feeling the harder workouts and feel quite sore after I do them. Hopefully I will see some results in the numbers so I am motivated to get back on the program when I get back. It will be harder to stay consistant as there will be lots of weekends away camping and kayaking.
