I'm terrible at talking about myself but I'll give it a shot... I'm 28 years old and I love to read, I spend a majority of my free time reading. I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Genetics. I'm currently working to get my certification as a diagnostic medical sonographer. In the meantime, since I've recommitted myself to being a healthier more physically fit

In the past I always exercised on and off in the hopes of bettering my life and my health. But that's all it ever amounted to... the on again, off again dance. I never stuck with it long enough to see the desired results that keep me motivated to continue. Year after year I start the fitness and health kick with a group of people and by the end of the year 4 out of 10 reach their goals, 3 got half way there but fell off the wagon and the last 3 quit while they were "ahead." I've always been part of the "half way there" team. I've yet to reach my ultimate goal, but this year I believe I will. This year I plan on being in the 4 out of 10 category.

I started out strong in December of 2005 when I saw an infomercial for Turbo Jam. I made the decision to try it out and I lost 15 pounds. You'd think that would have encouraged me to keep going but instead I hit a plateau at 145lbs, got discouraged and fell of the wagon. Then I'd get back on only to fall off again, fluctuating between 145 - 148lbs. At that time (when I didn't know better) I was just looking for a "get thin quick scheme" instead of learning how to make a better, healthier lifestyle for myself.

Because I failed to learn the biggest lesson of all: THAT THIS IS SOMETHING YOU DO FOR LIFE (taking it one step at a time) 5 years later and I ended right back where I started at 162lbs. Frustrated, tired and fed up I finally decided to stop my half baked attempts and go full force. I read every book I could get my hands on and dug my Beachbody workouts out of their dust covered boxes. Then I made a promise to take things ONE DAY at a time, one workout at a time, one pound at a time and one change at a time. I started with Insanity in April [2010] and dropped 14lbs. Then I followed it up with ChaLEAN Extreme which I completed [11/19/10]. I also completed TurboFire [1/29/10] and now it's time for round 2 of P90X!! After which I plan to do a month of Brazil Butt Lift followed by round 2 of Insanity and so on... You gotta switch things up so that the body doesn't get comfortable with the same old routine and also your weight loss progress doesn't plateau.

Beachbody makes it so easy to continue this journey to a better fitter individual by always introducing new products so I never get bored. And believe me I get bored so easily by the same old routines. I like to keep things fresh and mix it up. My fitness library has grown quiet a bit since 2005. I have P90X, Insanity, Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire, Brazil Butt Lift, Slim in 6, Yoga Booty Ballet, Hip Hop Abs and more!

For the first time in a long time the Beachbody slogan has finally sunk in: I DECIDED I'm worth it, I've COMMITTED to see it ALL THE WAY through, and so far I am SUCCEEDING :-) I have a whole new outlook on life (not just in the health/fitness areas). I'm stronger willed than I've ever been and I'm ready for a lifestyle change that I'll keep up for the rest of my life.
