Charlotte, NC Hi, my name is Libby, after years of struggling with my weight I finally figured out the key to making health and fitness a lifestyle and I'm so excited that I have the opportunity to share it with you. I've tried diet pills, miracle juices, weight loss groups, gym memberships, and various workout dvds, but none of them worked for me because I lacked the key to being successful at any weight loss Hi, my name is Libby, after years of struggling with my weight I finally figured out the key to making health and fitness a lifestyle and I'm so excited that I have the opportunity to share it with you. I've tried diet pills, miracle juices, weight loss groups, gym memberships, and various workout dvds, but none of them worked for me because I lacked the key to being successful at any weight loss program....MOTIVATION! Sounds easy enough right, but for me it's always been the most difficult part of the journey. Heart disease runs in family so when my doctor informed me that my cholesterol was too high and awkwardly searched for words to tell me that losing some weight would benefit me without hurting my feelings, I knew it was time to take control of my health. I can't say it was pleasant being told that I was overweight but it was true and he gave me what I'd been lacking for so many years, the Motivation to start a weight loss program and actually finish it. Since July 2008 I've lost 42 pounds and I've been able to stay Motivated by constantly challenging myself to do things that I never would have imagined. Just one year ago I couldn't complete a low impact 30 minute workout and today I'm able to complete each of the 45-60 minutes dvds in the P90x series. Just six months ago I couldn't run 1 minute without stopping to catch my breath, to date I've ran three 5k races, a 10k, and I completed my first 1/2 marathon in December 2009.

I joined a 4 week outdoor bootcamp in August 2008. The camp was exactly what I need to jumpstart my weight loss. At the end of the camp I continued working out at home using various dvds, including Yoga Bootie Ballet, switching programs every four weeks to avoid plateau. I did this until my husband purchased the best gift ever...P90X! I completed the program twice and I've lost a total of 42 pounds. Shedding the extra pounds has truly changed my life. I can honestly say that at 32 years old I'm in the best shape I've ever been in my life and I feel GREAT!
