When I was younger, I remember constantly worrying about my Dad's health. He never smoke, never drank, and he's diet was never "horrible" - yet he had several health problems. Growing up, I watched his health problems become more and more severe. First it was high blood pressure, then it was a heart attack, after that they found kidney cancer, now it's chronic renal (kidney) failure and liver problems. It's pretty much the same story with my mother - always eating well and taking care of herself, but she was diagnosed with breast cancer just 2 years ago. Both are doing well for what they've been through - but can you imagine the difficulties they could have experienced had they not taken care of their bodies before hand?
Seeing my parents go through this was a real eye opener. You just never know what your body is going to have to endure in the future - whether it's an illness or an injury. This made me really reevaluate my own health & fitness.
While researching ways to make a lifestyle change by eating clean and being more active, I began to fall in love with the way I felt after working out everyday and not filling my body with "junk". I dropped 4% body fat and was in the best shape of my life - i felt great! Fast forward about 2 years.... I let "life" get in the way and began making excuses. Too much homework, too much laundry to do, I'd rather go to Olive Garden, I'm sleepy, blah blah blah. Excuses, excuses.
I was introduced to p90x through my Chiropractor, who is a p90x grad with AMAZING results. He and his wife both absolutely love it. I was telling him that I planned to begin my fitness lifestyle again and he insisted that I check it out. I am not disappointed!
The only place SUCCESS comes before WORK is in the dictionary!
