I had always been an athelete in high school running track, diving, gymnastics, cheerleading rowing. In high school and college my goal was to be "skinny" so i ate little and ran alot. i would make sure i did 2 hours of "cardio" a day and would eat 600 calories at most. With this routine i got sick, very sick. During the first part of college i started to get healthier and then after my mother passed away I gained 40 pounds in three months and struggled to lose the weight before I got married with a low carb diet and time on the elliptical. Every attempt at losing weight was a fad diet or unhealthy short lived attempt at weight loss. My workouts consisted of dragging myself to the gym and reading people magazine on the elliptical for 30 minutes. I had no energy and no motivation. Shortly after we got married I found out I was pregnant. I kept going to the gym and gained the recomended amount of weight and it wasnt that hard to lose but i was still slim with little muscle tone, little motivation, and low energy. I was focused on the outside and not what was healthy. Over the next 5 years I had two more babies. Between pregnancies I would go to the gym and workout. I even worked as a personal trainer for a while and even hired personal trainers to try and help me to reach my goals. With all of this I still felt tired and frustrated with not getting the results I was looking for while working my life around getting into a gym with three little ones. While I was pregnant with my third I saw the informercial for p90x. My friend, Demi Bean, Had had great successs with it and I decided after i was given the 6 week post partum clereance I was going to go for it. After a month of p90x i CANCELED my gym mermbership. Something I said I would never do! I started working out in the morning or during the kids naps. I had the rest of my day free to spend with them instead of spending all morning packing them up and taking them to the gym where I was already TOO TIRED to figure out how to get a good workout before I had to pick them up.In addition to this I was getting BETTER RESULTS than i ever had. At the 30 day point which was only 2.5 monthes after having my baby I COULD SEE MY ABS!! I felt so good. Having a goal to work towards everyday helped me fight post partum depression. I made a comitment to do three monthes of this workout and i was going to do it! After p90x I did insanity which is my favorite beachbody program so far. I now am doing insanity, hip hop abs, and brazil butt lift. These programs are life changing. i have great energy...great results....great motivation. Overall I have lost 15 pounds and my waist (around belly button)went from 33 inches to 27.5...doing one round of p90x and one round of insanity Thats 6 inches!! I fit in clothes i have never fit into and I have lots of lean muscle!whats even crazier is i fit into my high school prom dress that I wore when i was super unhealthy..but now I am healthy, i can wear it, and I have a mean bicep as an accesory. I cant wait to help people discover the beauty of working out at home and getting results with these amazing programs!
