Although there are those who are serious about becoming healthier, many are still taking their health for granted, like I did for so many years. Giving up foods and things you are used to, no matter what that particular thing is, can be difficult. I know I’ve been there. I used to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day. There were times in my younger days when after work I used to go out with my friends, have a few drinks, smoke and not think about my health at all. It wasn’t until I met my husband that I finally realized that my family, and my soon to be husband, was more important to me than anything. That is when I finally realized that my health was important and I needed to change. My fiancé was really into his health and he got me thinking about every aspect of my life and health. He was training with Tony Horton everyday in front of the TV doing P90X. He slowly got me interested. I remember the first day I couldn’t do more than 2-push ups. There are many different things you can do to get in better shape, but I have chosen to be involved with Beach Body because this was where I started and I’m very pleased with the results. By becoming an online fitness coach, I can work at home and give advice to people who want to change too. I know getting into the right routine is hard; it needs dedication, it needs determination and it needs motivation. Once you have decided to change your life, then I can help you move forward. When you are young you don’t really think much about your health. You just go with the flow, enjoy yourself, and think about nothing. When I look back on how I was when I was younger, I feel like I’m an entirely new person. I am now in a new phase in my life where I am more concerned about my health. I quit smoking, I’ve not touched alcohol for years and I’m eating right and I exercise daily. I have always been skinny. My friends and acquaintances would always tell me than I don’t eat right, or that I don’t eat enough. But that was not the case. I have always been pear shaped. I have a small upper body, but I have big hips. I thought this is just genes since my mom is also the same - skinny with big hips. Then about 3years ago I met my husband. He is really into health. He eats all the right foods. He takes care of himself. He is very conscious of his body. He introduced me into P90X. Then slowly my journey and transformation with Tony began. When I first saw the videos I said to myself, I CAN’T DO THIS!!! Everything is too hard. I could never be as strong as the girls in the videos. When you are at that beginning stage, what you need is motivation. You need education to make you realize you need to make changes in your life. You need something to get you started. Then once you get started and you start feeling and looking better, you need even more motivation to keep you going. My fiancé (now my husband) always had time to motivate me. In the beginning I could do only two push-ups. Now I have done as many as 235 in one workout session. I want all of you to know, “If I can do it, anyone can do it”! I’ve lost 4-inches on my hips. My upper body has improved and I see muscles. That is just amazing to me. I’m very happy with the results. My husband always says I look very GOOD! Nothing gives a woman more motivation than that!! Once you get to a point where you feel good and you are happy with the results, you want to be even better. That’s why I’ve decided to become a Beach Body Coach, so I can help others achieve similar results that I have enjoyed. So girls, and all you men too, I can help you get started slowly, or I can take you to the extreme. Which do you prefer? I have always felt soreness during my first month of doing P90X. Many mornings I don’t want to get out of bed because I felt so tired but as I progressed, the soreness began to go away and I became stronger. I started going to the gym. I always had the urge to wake early every morning so I can exercise before I went to work. I eat the right food. I became more conscious of how I look. I cut back on cheeseburgers, chocolate, French fries and I am living healthy.
