Council Grove, KS Growing up, I was blessed with a small frame, fast metabolism, and kept in shape through my passion for dance. But my body completely changed after I had my son. It took me a year to get the energy and motivation to even try to get back into shape, and took me a year and a half to get serious about changing my lifestyle and diet after pregnancy and breastfeeding. I began volunteering at the local fitness center, teaching Tai Chi and Hip Hop Hustle. I try to be active everyday, whether teaching or taking group fitness classes, working in the yard, or playing or going on long walks with my son.

Starting a fitness career while raising a toddler has been a challenge, but since Nov. '09, I have seen encouraging results on my path to getting back in shape, and getting into better shape than I have ever been in. Since January, I have lost 10 lbs. and about 3 in. from my waist. My goal is to tighten up, tone up, and add a little muscle. I love that exercise can both give me energy and help me relax, so I try to have an active day everyday!
