I am 25 years of age and I had worked full time since I was 15. In May of 2009 I made a huge decision that has not only impacted my family life but also "my" life. My husband and I decided it was time for me to stop working and focus more on our girls (Jenna 5, and Olivia 3) and my role in the home. Little did I know what kind of journey I was headed on.

I am 25 years of age and I had worked full time since I was 15. In May of 2009 I made a huge decision that has not only impacted my family life but also "my" life. My husband and I decided it was time for me to stop working and focus more on our girls (Jenna 5, and Olivia 3) and my role in the home. Little did I know what kind of journey I was headed on.

Starting May 29th 2009 I took my first step to a healthier life. I started regularly attending the local YMCA and tracking my nutrition and fitness on a free website. I made myself aware of what I was putting into my body and what I needed to do to lose weight. I weighed in at 164lbs when I started. I had been this same weight before I found out I was pregnant with my oldest daughter. All through high school I would maintain a weight of 145lbs or so. I don't ever remember being smaller than a size 9. I knew I had to change my life. I was always depressed because instead of losing weight I would just buy bigger clothes. I never felt comfortable enough to go out with my husband. I was always worried about how I looked and I was sick of it. I was sick of being angry with who I saw in the mirror. I realized that I have two girls that I need to set an example for and who are depending on me. So I made a change. I'm not saying I enjoyed the whole idea of it at first. I was used to an unhealthy life and it was hard to change.

Almost a year later I am now weighing in at 133lbs. For the first time in my life I'm at a normal BMI. And I'm in a size 4!! There was a time I could never imagine any of this for my body. I never thought it was possible and I've proven myself wrong. I feel better about myself. I don't have to worry about fitting into my clothes (or at least them not being too tight anyways) and my attitude towards life has changed. Everything I do from day to day revolves around keeping active and fueling my body with food rather than weighing it down with junk. The best part is my family and I find active things to do together rather than focusing our "date time" on food.

My journey with my weight loss continues. I have a goal in mind of 125lbs. I'm going to keep pushing now that I know my body is capable of anything I push it to be.

My main reason for becoming a coach is so that I can help other people like me feel the way I am feeling in my new body. I want to show them that they can do anything they set their mind to. They can shape their bodies they way they want them. They can have control over themselves. I want them to experience the joy of overcoming the temptations and enduring through the sweat and pain and relishing in their new beings. I want to see others succeed at building a healthy and active life.
