I've been working out with Beachbody programs since 2004. I officially started with Power 90. I also have used Shaun T's Hip Hop Abs. I have had the most success with Tony Horton's P90X and Shaun T's Insanity. Both are pretty intense workouts, Insanity more so than P90X but I like them both. Since breaking my collarbone, I had really slacked off and decided to get serious for 2011. On January 24, 2011 I started round 1 of P90X. I began weighing 139 lbs. Since I'm only 5 foot, and I have a petite frame, it's too much for me. In addition, my BF % was 33.8. That's considered obese.
I am excited because I have worked out for the full 90 days and not missed a beat. My 90th day will be tomorrow, April 24th.I have lost about 6 lbs but lots of inches and that's what counts. My thighs actually got bigger, probably from doing squats and horse stance. I'm not going to give up. For round 2, I plan on doing the P90X/Insanity Hybrid. I think for me, this may give me more slimming in the thigh area. I can't wait to start round 2. I will keep you updated on my progress.
Hello everyone, I wanted to keep you updated on my progress. Originally, I was supposed to start round 2 in three weeks, but I decided I wanted to do a cleanse. I had to delay round 2 because they don't recommend any intense exercise during the cleanse due to low calorie intake. I was very pleased with my results. I lost 10 lbs in 21 days, which is remarkable, considering I only lost 6 lbs with P90X. However, I did lose alot of inches with P90X and I am very pleased with that.
I started round 2 P90X/Insanity Hybrid on July 18,2011.I now weigh 128. In addition, I am also in training for a half marathon, so I have been jogging every other day. It's going to be very interesting to see my results once this 90 days is complete. I will keep you posted.
Today is October 16, 2011 and I just finished my 2nd round of P90X/Insanity Hybrid. I am very pleased with this rounds results. I am beginning to see more definition in my abdomen area. Namely my obliques. I also ran a half marathon on Oct 2nd, that was a first. I finished under 3 hours and that was my goal. I did suffer a strained calf muscle training for the half marathon. I continued with this round even though I was injured because I wanted to finish. I can't wait to start my round 3 of the P90X/Insanity Hybrid, but I've decided to let my strained calf muscle heal before I begin. Stay tuned!
