Mililani, HI Hi, I'm Danielle :) Because of my constant yo-yo dieting status, I'm determined to lose all the weight over the past year and keep it off FOREVER. I have found that I love to exercise whether it be alone or with friends and that I love to eat healthy foods because healthy foods are yummy in my tummy. ^______^

Previous to high school, I was always that short and skinny loud girl that graced the halls of school. But when I became a freshmen, I joined marching band and that ruined things. Because of the late nights of mb, I ate and slept right after constantly so I gained weight. Before I knew it, I had huge cheeks (part genes, part weight). Throughout high school, however, I didn't care that much about my weight. I knew I wasn't skinny, but I knew I wasn't obese either. I didn't really try to lose weight even a couple of years after I graduated high school. But then in the fall of 06, my friend suggested I take yoga with her and I did. I decided then that I would lose weight, so along with yoga, I walked, ate better, and stopped drinking a can of coke a day. I also started to work out to these workout videos my mom had lying around for years and one of them was called "Turbo Jam." I found myself exercising more and eating better each month and before I knew I was 118 lbs. BUT this didn't last long. In the spring of 07' I graduated from LCC and transfered to UHM to pursue my English BA. So I was fine until I started my first semester at UHM.
Beacuse I started only exercising two days a week and started eating poorly again, I gained all the weight I lost back. So, in the spring of 08' I decided to lose the weight AGAIN. To do this, I used "Turbo Jam," "the slim series," and went on a diet and ate healthy again. All of this combined resulted in me becoming my ideal weight: 115 lbs. I was in the best shape ever. I was glad with my weight and I was toned. HOWEVER, this didn't last long either because soon after that summer, I started my LAST year in college.
Because of my work load, I didn't have time to exercise, well at least that's what I told myself. And slowly but surely, I began gaining the weight back. But, in my last semester, I started stress eating and despite my aerobics class twice a week, I began to gain more weight. I had a goal to lose weight that semester, but it didn't work out because I had stupid essays about victorian literature to write about, stupid Spanish exams to study for, and on top of all that, a 12-15 page Shakespeare paper to write. Needless to say, I didn't lose weight and instead gained weight and before I knew it, I was probably around 127 lbs and had big cheeks again.
It wasn't till I gradauted when I decided I needed to stop eating fatty foods. Of course, it didn't help that because I graduated from a university (the first in my family to do so) I ate out a lot because some of my family was down to celebrate. But one day, I ate some Ramen dish with my brother and mom and felt horrible afterwards and that's when I decided that I was done being 127 lbs.
Soon after this, I began exercising again. I started to do the beachbody workouts again along with my wii fit. And then, I got invited to go to "the Asylum" with my friend and that changed things. We started doing "Insanity" and each time we finished a workout I was amazed with myself because I never thought I would be able to survive a workout like that. I began loving workingout and became addicted. Now, I look and feel great. I am determined to NEVER gain the weight I lose because if I have to go through all of this again, I'll be very upset with myself.
