Burbank, CA About 10 years ago I quit working to stay at home and raise my children. I use to work for the entertainment industry, but when I quit my job and started staying at home I became fascinated with health and fitness. After going to a retreat a few years ago where I detoxed my body on raw food, I decided that I wanted to open my own juice and smoothie bar. I use to work for the entertainment industry, but when I quit my job and started staying at home I became fascinated with health and fitness. After going to a retreat a few years ago where I detoxed my body on raw food, I decided that I wanted to open my own juice and smoothie bar. I started back to school to take business and found that I have a knack for accounting. So, the business plan is on hold for the time being and I am now trying to obtain a certificate for when I go back to work. In the meantime, I am still interested in the the health and fitness industry and am trying to read and learn what I can while getting into the best shape that I can.

As a kid I was very active. My life was going to school and then training in gymnastics until late at night. When I reached my teenage years, I decided that gymnastics was not for me anymore, I wanted to have a life. Well, that "life" consisted of eating tons of fast food, junk food and no activity. This continued for years until one day I was sitting down talking with girlfriends and noticed that I had obtained thunder thighs. I was not so happy about that. I started working out at home to Kathy Smith videos. I was addicted. I did anything I could get my hands on. I lost weight but was not getting the tone that I wanted. I did this for years, not understanding how to work out. Finally one day on FitTv I saw a workout to Cathe Friedrich and that was it. I thought I had struck gold. But still, I did not obtain the muscles that I wanted because of lack of knowledge. I read on the forums about something called P90X. People loved this program, but I was skeptical. It took me a while to believe that something could be this good. But after hearing rave reviews and seeing before and after pictures I was sold. I bought it and started my first 90 day, muscle confusion program and loved it! I loved the fact that it had structure that I could follow and that I was getting the results that I wanted. I ended P90X, and was really happy but was kind of lost on what to do after. And then I hurt my back and was told that I could not work out with weights or cardio, that yoga was what I should do. So I did that for a few months and felt strong enough to go back to weights and cardio. Now, I am happy to be trying Chalean Extreme. After two weeks of doing the program, I am really happy with the results. I can't wait to see what happens after 90 days!
May 22, 2009 (Push Phase complete):
At the end of this week, I will be completed with the Push Phase of Chalean Extreme. So far, I am very happy with the results. I did not take measurements before I started this program, but I can tell you that my stomach has gone down, I fit into my jeans better and I feel much stronger than before. My measurements as of now are: Weight - 125 Arms - 11" Legs - 19" Chest - 34" Waist - 29.5" Hips - 35" Body fat - 28% My main goal now is to gain muscle. I am on my way. After Chalean Extreme is completed, my plan is to do P90X. But that is a ways away, so I won't think about that right now.
July 2, 2009 Today was the second day of doing P90X. I am sore, but am so glad that I did Chalean Extreme before starting P90X again. I will take measurements and do the fit test this weekend so I can track my progress. I did just order Insanity today, so I don't know what I am going to do when that comes in. I might be too anxious to wait for the 90 days to be up with the X before starting Insanity. Decisions, decisions.
8/3/2009 Tomorrow is yoga X and I will be done with the first 30 days of P90X. I all ready feel fitter and my clothes fit better. I am looking forward to the next 30 days.
8/26/2009 I am almost done with the second phase of P90X and am VERY happy with the results. I have a rest week and then instead of going on to the 3rd phase, I decided that I am going to workout with Insanity with a girlfriend. I still have stubborn bodyfat that I would like to lose before my 40th birthday and I am hoping that Insanity will do the trick. I have so much more definition in my arms and legs from P90X and I have lost bodyfat, but I would like to do it a little bit more quickly now. Wish me luck!!
