I'm a married mom of two boys, looking to get in better shape before I turn 40 in Dec 2008. I like martial arts, running and climbing. I started running in 2006. July 2007, I ran the Pikes Peak Ascent (13.32 miles, 7315 ft vertical gain) and in January 2008, I ran the Walt Disney World Marathon. I needed a new challenge and I chose P90x.

I'm a mother of two, and have been trying to lose those last 12 lbs from my last pregnancy since Jan 2005. With BalanceLog and Tae Bo, I was able to achieve my goal weight in July 2005, but not the body shape I wanted. A year later, all the weight came back, and has stayed.
In 2006, I started running for the first time in my life. I started out with a 5k with a modified, 3 week "Couch to 5k" program. I was in decent shape at the time, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. By July, I ran my first 10k, and made a vow to run a marathon by the time I turned 40. In December, I ran my first half marathon distance. In January 2008, I ran the Walt Disney World marathon, 11 months before my 40th birthday.
I'm up for my next challenge. I got sucked in by the P90X infomercial, and chose it for the next step in feeling great at 40.
