My name is Matt. I'm a music educator in Maryland.

When I was in middle school and high school, I found myself getting larger and larger. Stress and poor food and diet choices really took their toll. Even though college I struggled with diets and quick fixes that I couldn't commit to. During my junior year of college, I decided to finally do something. What was first a menu of acceptable foods to eat because a full-fledged dedication to nutrition and health. I lost a TON of weight using the Weight Watchers program (85 pounds, to be exact) and now, three years later, I'm still maintaining a healthy weight and active lifestyle.

This year, I really want to get in gear. I've always been great at burning calories using cardio, but I've always struggled with knowing how to do strength training and how to maintain a resistance training regiment. A co-worker of mine, a graduate of the P90X program, recommended that if I wanted to get with it, P90X would be a fantastic way to go.

So, here I am! I'm starting on March 29 2009 and still trying to get things in order (my fitness gear, my nutrition plan, and everything else!) and I'm looking forward to the support and assistance of a Beachbody coach and this online community to answer the inevitable questions I'll have along the way.
