I have 3 amazing children, one daughter in law, and several "bonus children" (the friends of my children who tend to live with us). I just turned 40 years old this year, and have realized that life truly does begin at 40! Forty is the new twenty, ya know!
Before I turned 40, I wanted to lose enough weight to jump out of a I have been a stay at home mom for the better part of 16 years. I have 3 amazing children, one daughter in law, and several "bonus children" (the friends of my children who tend to live with us). I just turned 40 years old this year, and have realized that life truly does begin at 40! Forty is the new twenty, ya know!
Before I turned 40, I wanted to lose enough weight to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. At the time, I thought that meant losing 20lbs to weigh in at 200. I thought I weighed 220lbs. I have since learned that I was way off! Once I turned 40, and realized I didn't lose a single pound, I decided that this year would be the year of adventure and change for me. I was going to get off the couch and live my life! I had no idea what that would look like, but I was going to do it! At the end of May, while in Las Vegas for my birthday celebration and the Jimmy Buffet concert, I had a scare. My heart started racing, my blood pressure was very high, and my chest was hurting. I was rushed off by the airport ambulance to the nearest hospital, where I had to stay over night and go through through a heart stress test, heart ultra sound, and lots of blood work. All to find out, that my heart was perfectly fine. My blood pressure isn't normally high. They said it was probably stress; however, it was enough to scare me!
Here it is August, just a few months later, and I have released 16lbs. I am hiking the mountains of Idaho, and exercising every day! I have a new lease on life! Part of this can be contributed to the Beachbody workouts!
My life is dedicated to being of service, and one of my biggest passions is the empowerment of women and children. I volunteer a great deal: teaching self-esteem classes to young women, girl scout leader, and a few other things. Being of service is my passion, so when the opportunity to become a Coach with Beachbody presented itself, I realized that I can use my passions and invite others to join me on this Journey of Fitness.
When I started this journey (in July before becoming a Beachbody Coach), I weighed in at 254lbs. Today nearing the end of August, I stepped on the scale and it said I weighed 237lbs. You can see I have alot more weight to release, and that makes me the perfect Coach for you. I KNOW what it takes! I KNOW how it feels! I am right there with you! I am following the eating program and the exercise programs. I am living this life, and I love every minute of it! I am getting stronger every day, and I am totally looking forward to helping YOU along your Journey to Fitness.

I started on my Journey to Fitness at the beginning of July, before becoming a Beachbody Coach. At the time, I weighed in at 254lbs. I was quickly growing out of my size 20 (and sometimes 22) clothing, and my health was in jeopardy. Nearly 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with very high cholesterol and pre-diabetic. I have done nothing to change that until this summer.
On Sunday, August 16th, I started the Turbo Jam workout (again before becoming a coach) and I weighed in at 239lbs. I LOVE the workouts. They are fun and energetic and really give me a great challenge.
I really look forward to the workouts every day, and I see myself improving every day!
