Growing up, I was always a bigger girl. Not necessarily obese, but always
heavier than my friends. As all of the girls would get together and trade
clothes, as young girls do, I had to exclude myself in fear of being
embarressed.
My weight has fluctuated up and down for years, experimenting with diet
pills, starvation, fad diets, ect. Everything I would try always ended up in the
same result,a little weight loss followed by a rebound that usually left me
heavier than when I started. I even tried joining a gym a few times but always
ended up quitting due to the shame I felt because of the way I looked.
In my mid 20's, I got engaged to my husband and began planning our
wedding. I was absolutely devastated when I couldn't wear the dress I wanted
because I felt uncomfortable the way it looked on me. Instead, I had to settle
for something bulky that could completely hide my body. From the time of
my wedding,for the next four+yrs. I continued to put on weight.
In 2003,I gave birth to my daughter,Hailey. During my pregnancy I put on
37lbs, but it was after her birth that my weight realy spun out of control. I
had become a stay at home mom and continued to let myself go. I would
cook elaberant meals to fill my time and loved to eat them. I soon became
202lbs. I was absolutely miserable with myself. I knew I had to make a
change. I wanted help and I needed to commit myself to exercising. It was
soon after this that I was up late one night watching T.V. and stumbled across
a video called Power 90. The testimonials put me in tears. I was the before
pictures and I understood there pain.
I instantly had to have this Beachbody Transformation Video. I immediately
woke my husband up and told him about it. The next morning it was on its
way to my house!
I experienced absolutely amazing results. I lost 50lbs in the next 3mths. I
went onto Turbo Jam and ended up at 132lbs. WOW,I couldn't believe I
weighed what I did in middle school!
Life soon went on and I decided it was time to return to the working world. I
took a job as a server in a restaurant. Let's just say it wasnt't long before I
was, "Eatin Good In The Neighborhood"
My weight started creeping back up over the next couple of months. I ended
up at 163lbs. My workouts had dropped off, and I had lost much of the
motivation that I had while I was committed to the programs. I needed to find
inspiration again and I needed it fast. I already believed in Beachbody's
products and I knew they would help me again. I decided to try Slim In 6. I
knew I could commit to 6 weeks and I believed all the great success people
had by reading the message boards. With a combination of using the foods
on Michi's ladder,The Club Meal Planner and Slim in 6, I found myself quickly
back on track. After my first 6 weeks I went down from 163 to 145lbs. I was
feeling it again, that feeling of motivation, and the joy of success. I was not
going to let this feeling go again.
I continued to use The program my husband(Aaron Mathis aka Airdog) uses
which is P90X! WOW, I can't believe that I am capable of doing this. I am
currently down to 138lbs.and I can do more than I ever thought was possible.
I want to be able to do a full pull-up and I know I will get there with the help
of my buddy Tony and most of all My Coach, My Inspiration, My Husband
Aaron Mathis!
Now I am the kind of person I never though was capable, more important,
my kids and my family are eating right and living healthy.
I have used most of the Beachbody programs and nutritional products. I
have became a Certified Turbo Kick Instructor(but to shy to teach) I'm in the
greatest shape of my life, and I owe it in large part to the programs, tools,
and incredible support of Team Beachbody.

I want to help others to achieve their health and fitness goals. As an
Independent Team BeachBody Coach I get to do that, and let people know
that dreams really do come true.
