I joined Beachbody with a story similar to many I have read on here already. I was very athletic in high school playing every sport imaginable and in University playing varsity volleyball. After graduation, I started letting myself go and becoming less physically active due to work and other commitments. To top that off, I tore both rotator cuffs, and damaged my right knee significantly playing high level volleyball with an out-of-shape body. I've been very inactive for the past year or so, and as a result, have packed on the pounds and fat.
I'm here to get back into shape so that I can lead a happy and healthy life with my family! My plan is to start with Power 90, and progress to P90X once I feel confident my injuries are no longer inhibiting.
Cheers,
Dave

I decided to start myself off easy getting back into things with Power 90. I don't want to over-do it, and want to make sure I don't further damage my shoulders or knee. At the beginning of the year, I was barely able to do a squat without pain in my knee, or a pushup without pain in both shoulders. Physio and "pushing through" a 2 week trial of Power 90 have helped immensely, and I am now able to make it through my Power 90 workouts without pain. Huge progress in a short time.
I officially started Power 90 on Feb 8, 2010, so am just getting started. The 1-2 workouts are quickly becoming too easy, so I suspect I'll move up to 3-4 in short order. More to come in 90 days when finished my first round. Wish me luck!
