My Story Starts about 5 years ago when I first purchased P90. I was very pleased with the program that was outlined, but when I began the program I did not feel that I was in shape enough to perform the routine. After about 5 weeks I gave up due to numerous reasons. I found that working out in the evenings was something that I could easily spend the day talking myself out of, and often times I could not sleep correctly because I was too keyed up from the excersize. My weight at the time was also a problem with trying to keep up with the sweat routines. It was either a stamina problem or I couldn't perfom certain excersizes symply because I was too heavy for my own joints. During this time I weighed in at 220 lbs. Well the next thing that happened was that I had excepted a position with a company that was at least 2 hours to work each way everyday. After working 10 hrs. a day and doing the drive I only had time to have a late dinner, and generally fall asleep infront of the T.V. Well after about 4 years of this I finally began to respect the people a little more that say balance is most important in your life. After having much success in my professional life I was recruited by a highly respected company in my field, and was offered a position much closer to home. It wasn't long before P90 began to pull at the edge of my mind again. I now had the time to workout, and I already learned that early mornings were best for me due to the fact that I was so good at leading myself into non-productive situations after a long day of work. I had also gone from 220 lbs. to 234 lbs during the time that I had worked for the other company. I finally made a committment to begin a plan that would allow me to succeed at P90. I began my own plan which incorporated the diet from P90, running, pushups, and situps to prepare myself for P90. I set my goal at 90 days like P90 and a weight goal of 190 before I would begin to do the P90 workout again. I began this routine doing fast walk on 2/18/2008 weighing in at 234 lbs. my measurements were as follows; neck; 18 in., shoulders; 50.75 in. waist; 45 in. hips; 46 in. By 5/19/08 I was running anywhere from 3-5 miles daily, and loving it. The pounds melted away quickly, and I could feel my health improve with each passing week. I weighed in on 5/19/08 at 195 lbs., the lightest I had weighed in 12 yrs. Overall I lost 23.25 in., and 45 lbs. I had not yet achieved my goal weight yet to begin P90, so I continued on that same workout for an additional 2 weeks, and on 6/4/08 I finally made the transition to P90. I was reticent as I began because I had so much success with what I was doing, I was afraid to make a change. I tried in the beginning to do both running and P90, but that is just too much for me at this point. I have settled in to what Tony Horton recommends and that is to just trust this program and do it as it is outlined. Well as of today 6/13/08, I weighed in again, and I am currently at 182 lbs. and feel better than I have in the past 15 years. I am looking forward to maxing out P90, and moving on to P90X immediatly following.
