I am a thirty yaer old male who lives and works in central pennsylvania. I am a Master technician for two major german auto manufacturers. I am relatively new to the fitness world as I was almost 100 pounds heavier about two years ago .

I am an auto technician who takes a lot of care and pride in what I do, so much so that I have been recognized as one of the top technicians in the country for the brand that I work for. This has not always been the case for my diet and personal appearance.
Four years ago I weighed in at 240, my personal heaviest. In addition to the weight I was also a two pack a day smoker and consumed more beer than should be allowed by one individual. I was also a fast food junkie; Wendy’s, McDonalds, Burger King and for those familiar with western Pennsylvania, Sheetz’s MTO’s. On top of that I worked in a pizza parlor and worked the closing shift and which usually ended with a few slices of pizza at the wee hours of the morning. Looking back and knowing what I know now I would say that I was consuming 6000 or more calories a day. I was by no means an Olympic athlete at that time and had no reason to consume so much, not to mention that most of the calories were “empty” or junk calories.
That is when I met the woman I am going to marry (coming up in June 2009). She is a physical rehabilitation specialist who has worked with obese patients in the past. I know this essay is to be how P90X changed my life but she is the one who started me on the path towards the ”X”. She showed me how the foods that I was eating affected my overall health and well being and that by making better choices I would feel and look better and she was right, I was amazed at how the things that I ate affected my everyday life. I began to eat better and following those changes decided to quit smoking and drinking alcoholic beverages. Within two years I had lost seventy pounds, started exercising regularly, completely changed my wardrobe twice and felt a million times better than I had ever felt before.
All of the changes were great but I was still unhappy with the way that I looked, unable to rid myself of those last twenty pounds stopping me from looking my best. I have my wedding and honeymoon coming up this year, which the wedding is on the beach and the honeymoon is a week long Caribbean cruise. I knew that I wanted to look my best for my big day but was unsure how to go about it, I was running everyday with some light calisthenics but the results weren’t coming. Then I saw Tony on the P90x commercial and with a little over three months left before the wedding I brought it home to my fiancé. I explained that I wanted to do this program for the wedding and she was so excited about my commitment that she is currently doing the program with me.
So far I am down fifteen pounds, seven percent body fat (currently under 10%), and a total of 8 inches, I look and feel great with 28 more days to go. I will finish the story when I complete the “X”…….
