Three years after having my daughter, I was still having trouble getting back into an exercise routine. I frequently found myself snoozing the alarm instead of getting up to work out like I had before. If I did motivate myself to get out of bed, I would end up working out a couple more times that week but then would sometimes go a week or 2 before exercising again. Being active had always been important to me and it was hard feeling so unmotivated. I felt guilty not taking better care of myself. I knew I needed to work out especially after being pregnant but I just didn’t feel like it. Then I was introduced to the Beachbody programs and I am happy to say I am again exercising regularly and enjoying my morning workouts.

I started out with Chalene Extreme and loved the workouts and results I saw. I got stronger, my back didn't hurt anymore, my muscle tone was better and my overall level of fitness improved. I even participated in a 10K run that included crossing a 4 mile long bridge with a steep incline at the end. I had only been doing Chalene Extreme workouts so wasn't sure how it was going to go without training for a running event especially since I usually don't run that far anyway. My goal was to complete the entire race without walking. To my surprise, I not only didn't walk but ran 9 minute miles. I had never done a 10K run and even with shorter runs would not usually run that fast. I was very excited to see that the strength training and cardio of the Chalene Extreme program had made such a difference with my overall fitness level as well as helping to tone up my body.

Once I finished Chalene Extreme, my husband and I decided to take on P90X. We had attempted one of the workouts (Core Synergistics) a year or so before but were scared away...not this time. Doing Chalene Extreme had prepared us to take on Tony Horton. We were going right along, loving the workouts and then 4 weeks into it I discovered I was pregnant. Needless to say my goals changed a little but I was still able to complete program with a few modifications and a little lighter weights. I finished P90X and continued to use Beachbody workouts including Yoga Booty Ballet Baby on the Way throughout my pregnancy as well as walking and using my cybex Arc Trainer. Ten weeks after having my son, I decided to take on Insanity. I was glad that I had continued working on my fitness during my pregnancy so my body didn't go into complete shock but wow was Insanity hard! Even though it was challenging, I just listened to my body and did the best I could. I made it through and developed leg muscles that I don't think I even had pre-baby, lost my baby weight and overall toned up. What a great way to get right back in it! I am now taking on Turbo Fire and look forward to seeing the results I get after the next 20 weeks.

I am so glad that I discovered Beachbody programs and became a Team Beachbody Coach. I didn't have to wait 3 years after the birth of my 2nd child to feel like me again. I love having fitness a part of my daily life and sharing it with others as a coach makes it even better!
